Hi, If you look at the shield around the cutter head, you'll find a blade mounted in the shield, at the back. Your line should be this long.

Poulan p1500 string trimmer string problems

Could be the cutting line, if it is getting hot and becoming soft before it feeds out, it can stick. Try not winding the cutting line as tightly, this will give some space between the line and allow it some space to cool. If this doesn't help, the line is the problem.

Belt shredded, need new one for 5891 breadmaker

get a piece of string or cut a piece of newspaper and wind it around where the belt was and trim it so the ends meet. Measure that string or piece of paper in inches and email me the number of inches and fractions of inches as exact as you can measure and I will see if I have a belt that size. Example: 21 and 1/8 inches, or 23 and 3/4 inches, If I have one that matches will let you know. I charge $14.99 for bread machine belts. daryl [email protected]

HOW DO I INSTALL A NEW STRING IN A PRO CUT 11 for Ryobi RLT30CD trimmer

LINE REPLACEMENT (Fig. 8) (For Reel EasyTM Head) Use 2.4mm monofilament string. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Cut one piece of string approximately 7.6m in length. n Rotate knob on string head until line on knob aligns with arrows on top of string head. n Insert one end of string into eyelet located on the side of the string head and push until string comes out through eyelet on the other side. Continue to push string through the string head until the middle section of the string is inside the string head and string outside the string head is evenly divided on each side. n Rotate the knob counterclockwise on the string head to wind the string. Wind the string until approximately 20cm remains protruding from the string head. INSTALLING STRING IN PRO CUT II STRING HEAD Use monofilament string between 2.4 mm and 2.7 mm diameter. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Gather two of the pre-cut lengths of trimmer line provided or cut two pieces of trimmer line, in 28 cm lengths. n Insert the strings into the slots located on the sides of the string head. String should be pushed in until approximately 2 cm protrudes from the holes on the top of the string head. n Remove old string by pulling it from the holes located on the top of the string head. http://www.screwfix.com/sfd/i/cat/pdfs/89/p4763889.pdf

How do i string a ryobi dual line electric trimmer. i have a dual line trimmer that use to be my dad's (he is no longer living) so i am unable to ask him.

Remove the head, the reel, a knob and a spring will fall out if you arentcareful. Cut about 25 feet of proper size line. Pull 12 or so feet throuth the little hole in the reel and wind the string in the direction indicated on the reel. Leave about 6 inches sticking out on each side. There is a notch on each side to hold the string while you reassemble it. Insert the string into these notches. Reassemble the device and trim away while recalling all sorts of wonderful memories of the times you spent with your dad.

I ahve a model Weedeater fl20 and the string won't come out when tapped and when I tap it by hand, the string comes out less than an inch and the spool doesn't pop back up. I'm thinking that maybe the...

The string gets caught and is jammed. Give the cover a quarter tun to remove it. Then, pull the spool off with the plastic cutting string. Unwind it a bit and rewind it so it's straightened out. Then feed the two ends out the holes on the side when you put it back.

I need directions to replace string on black and decker cordless 18v grasshog

Go to home depot. look at the floor model and the replacement spools they sell there. Reverse engineer the stringing process or but a pre-loaded spool.
Otherwise,
1. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the head of the unit to remove the spool cover.
2. remove spool.
3. place end of string in small hole in center ring of spool.
4. wide spool with string in the direction of the arrows printed on the spool. DO NOT OVERLOAD!.
5. snap string into notch on spool and cut string leaving 6" exposed.
6. thread 6" of string through hole in side of unit head, replace spool, and replace cover.
7. go cut grass.

String will not feed when bumped

I've never had any luck with those stupid bump heads. Every time I would refill them, the string would get caught up. They bind up. I finally replaced the bump head with a string head that you place short pieces of string in. They're not perfect either. You have to pre-cut the string to about 9-12 inches in length, and just replace the piece when it's time.

Put string on tb425cs troy bilt trimmer

there are two ways to install the string..the cool way is without pulling the inner reel off the trimmer..just leave it in place..cut (2) approx.two arms length (thats spreading your arms out like airplane wings) of .095 string..now, align the arrow of the inner reel (it turns counter clock-wise..the arrow points outward) with the arrow on the outer spool (pointing inward)..holding the spool and reel together so the inner reel doesnt move, push one of the cut strings through the eyehole in the side of the outer spool, and it should come up to the right, through a slot next to a small round hole the diameter of the string..if it doesnt, it just missed the exit (as i call it)..pull out and try again..let about an inch come thru..now take that end of the string and push the line into the little round hole until it stops, which should be about a little more than 1/8 of an inch..hold it in while pulling the excess line outside the spool to keep it in place..now do the same with the other string for the other side..once you have both lines in place, turn the inner reel counter clock-wise to draw in both lines through the eyeholes of the outer spool..you may or may not get all of the line to wind in..not a problem..you will still have enough to do what you need to do..just cut off the rest..one problem you may or may not have that i do most of the tyme is that it gets hard to turn the inner reel..one solution is to bump the top of the 'bump knob' with your fist, then pull both strings at the same tyme, then continue to turn..this method is quicker and easier than the second way of having the inner reel out and trying to wind both lines at the same tyme and trying to place the reel back in the spool..hope this works for you...

Ryobi weed trimmer

I have one of this trimmers. It is simple to replace the line.
-First line up the arrows on the bottom of the spindle.
-Then feed the line back in one of the holes in the side of the spindle (this is the same hole that the cutting string comes out of).
-You will see the line come out of the bottom of the spindle.
-Take that line a place it in the hole on the bottom of the spindle.
-Leave about 9 feet of string hanging out of the weed eater (do the same with the other side).
-Then turn the inside wheel (I can't remember if it is clock wise or counter clock-wise but it will only turn one way) most of the string is rolled into the spindle.
-Cut the string of about 5 inches out of the weed eater. You're ready to cut!
