Compressor hpco or (High Pressure Cut Out) means the high side pressure has went over the limit the machine has been set too. The safety is there to protect the compressor. If the machine is water cooled, the water flow has most likely been interrupted. So often the machine was moved for cleaning and the wheel is on the water hose. If the machine is air cooled, Either 1. the fan has stopped, 2. the condensers are dirty or 3. It's just too hot where you are trying to run the machine.

Brush Cleaning did not clear the (L / R) HPR> 45F (7C) AFTER 1 HR fault on my Taylor Model C723 soft serve ice cream freezer.

Certain conditions must be met. The machine needs to be empty. The freezer door must be off the machine. The power switch must be off. Once the machine is off, a 5 minute countdown will show. It will also show 4 temperature readings. All 4 of them must be above 60 degrees F. before the countdown will start. Once the counter reaches zero, the Brush Clean Cycle will be reset along with any temperature vs. time error codes. If at any time, one of the temp readings drop below 60 degrees F. before the end of the 5 minute countdown, the countdown will reset to 5 minutes and the machine will not reset. Generally, the freezing cylinders take longer to come to temperature. Even when you run warm water through it first, there is sometimes enough residual cold to bring the temperature back below 60. A successful Brush clean Cycle will display "Power Switch Off---Unit Cleaned" and the 2 digit green display under the main display will reset to 00. if this happens and you turn the machine back on and you are hit with the same message then you may have an issue with one of your boards.

TAYLOR ICE CREAM MACHINE DISPLAYS HPCO COMPRESSOR.WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND HOW DO YOU REMOVE THIS CODE

HP co is a high pressure issue on the compressor. It could be a restriction in the orifice or the expansion valve. You need a valve and gage set.

Compressor hpco code comes up on panel of Taylor soft serve ice cream machine? Does that mean lack of water to machine?

There is a very good chance. Often the water has been shut off, or a wheel is pinching the hose.

HPCO stands for High Pressure Cut Out. The high side pressure is regulated by the water valve on water cooled equipment.

We have just got a second hand Taylor c723 machine and it keeps saying freezer locked. Any ideas

Empty the machine, clean it out. Remove the freezer door assembly, shut the machine off. it should display a 5 minute timer and 4 temp readings. All 4 of the temp readings need to be above 60 degrees F. for the counter to start. Once it reaches zero, the machine will reset and you should be good to go. If successful the machine will display "Power Switch Off---Unit Cleaned". if at any point during the 5 minute countdown, one of the temp readings drops below 60, the countdown will reset to 5 minutes and the machine will stay freezer locked.

Taylor 8756-33. Which components operate in standby mode?

In standby mode, the machine just wants to keep the product refrigerated until it goes back into auto.

So, the mix cabinet needs to keep the product cool in the bottom of the machine, that requires the mix compressor and fans to run. The mix cabinet temperature is read by a thermistor probe and regulated by the (left side) logic board.

The product in the cylinders should go back to liquid form in standby, but we still have to maintain that safe food temperature, the motor and compressor will run periodically. If the machine is air-cooled a fan will run anytime the compressors run. If it is water cooled, water will flow through the machine when the compressor runs. The temperature in the freezing cylinders is read by a different thermistor probe and regulated by the logic boards.

Here is a link to all of the parts in a Taylor 8756.

TAYLOR ICE CREAM MACHINE DISPLAYS HPCO COMPRESSOR.WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND HOW DO YOU REMOVE THIS CODE

HPCO is an acronym for High Pressure Cut Out. The most common causes of this code are either an issue with the fan in air-cooled equipment, or an issue with water flow in water-cooled equipment. MOST of the time, someone has mistakenly shut off water to the unit, or moved the machine and pinched a water line with the caster wheel. A restriction at the expansion valve is a possibility but unlikely unless the refrigeration system has been opened recently, possibly to replace a compressor or other component.
