Hi i'm using lg flatron model 29sf sound keeps switching on and off what could be a problem

This problem is showing when the main PCB of the monitor failed. Mr. Ravis not to worry you have warranty, contact the LG service provider in your area. They will change the PCB. check this link to get the service center info

Hi there! The bleep you heard may be a sign of your TV's protect mode...meaning, might be one of its components is defective i.e. change value coz' of aging...otherwise you have to get somebody to open the back cover for cleaning, long-dirts might be the cause of is ideal fo the clthe problem. Vacuum cleaner and soft bristled paint brush is ideal for cleaning. Good luck!

Since it dosn't have built in speakers, just the amp to power external ones, that is hardly suprising

Sound issues and answersa short list:

sound on set or a box muted or turned down?

speakers inside the set (see menu) switchedon or off?

internal/external switch somewhere in or on back of set?

Clearly it could be a audio problem (a model number?) but explore all here thatyou have not already done--make sure theremote set to TV and look for a button on it marked MTS and if there cycle it.

You can also determine if same trouble when you play a DVD.
