Z-4000, print error unless I continue to push down on print head

How can I adjust the downward pressure on the print head? It seems if I do that it prints fine. I've misplaced the manual for it.

Epson 4000

The error relates to a carriage movement error detected by the printer. This means the printer has detected too much power is required ti move the print head. Reason : All these Service Requests (Service Requests 00010004 , 00010005, 00010006, 00010007, 0001000A, 0001000F, 0001001D) are related to a Carriage movement error that is not automatically due to a Hardware fault. The reasons can be : - The carriage is lock not completely released. - The carriage lock has been partially pushed in after a paper jam or maintenance (for example). Reminder : The carriage lock must be released after unpacking the printer (see setup instructions) as follow : Points to check : In case such an error appears: - Power off the printer. - Ensure the Carriage lock is released (pulled to the left side) - Pushing down the cutter blade, slide the carriage to the left ? At the same time, please check if there is any foreign materials / dust / paper jam in the carriage path. If so, remove them. - Also, make sure that the carriage encoder (T-Fence) isn?t dirty and is correctly set and centered. Let me know how you get on with this info.

I have a Canon ipf 700 and am getting a code: 03800500-2F2F hardware error. Could someone please help me. Thank you.

03800500-2F2F Head management sensor error

The head management sensor detected an ink discharge error. A sensor sensitivity error was detected during head management sensor position adjustment.

Print head, head management sensor, or main controller PCB

1) Start by replacing the print head.
2) Visual check for any foreign substances around the head management sensor.
3) Replace the head management sensor.
4) If continuity of the cable between the head management sensor and the main controller PCB is abnormal, replace the cable.
5) Replace the main controller PCB.

Lid at printing end does not seem to fit rite....must press down on right side to restore printing. As long as you retain the pressure, it continues printing.

Do you mean that you need to retain the pressure to have good print quality on the right side or you need the pressure to keep the amber status light from showing ?

There is a small optic sensor that functions to indicate if the lid is open or not. The printer will not print as long as it thinks the lid is open. If the lid won't snap down tight enough you can fool the printer by placing a small piece of label or something opaque over the sensor to make it think the lid is closed. The sensor is located on the right side just behind the green adjusting wheel used to adjust the label width guides.

Hope that helps...

Can't get thespool off the head of echo 210

Nothing is wrong if it is just the head spinning. The idle is adjusted too high. Simply adjust the idle down and it should settle down for you.

The idle screw is usually large and will be located on the carburetor. Turn counter clock-wise to adjust downward.

If you need further assistance, let me know.

Printer-Genicom 2280+ Printer stopped then continued working, often on LCD Hardware error. When turn on printer- on LCD AGA Error.

The AGA Error on the 2280+ indicates the Automatic Gap adjust is not working.
This may be caused buy;
An obstruction (eg paper jam, ribbon etc) preventing the AGA from working correctly.
The AGA flag becoming detached from the printer or damaged
An incorrectly fitted print head
Fault AGA sensor.

You can overcome the AGA error by disabling the AGA and manually setting the print had gap.

To disable the AGA

Power the pritner on holding down ONLINE, keep ONLINE held down whilst the printer initializes.
When the printer displays ASCII80 ASCII136 release ONLINE
Press NEXT until you see AGA
Select AGA and set this to OFF

You can then manually adjust the print head gap in the normal menu.

Menu>Adjust>Head change the value to increase or decrease the head gap as required.

Ribbon wrinkle

Its a bit of both. Too much pressure on the printhead can cause this as well as a poorly aligned ribbon. Adjust both then adjust the darkness the same as you would position or calibration

Continually says align print cartridges

My guess is that the color cartridge is either defective or not inserted correctly. I have a 6110 and know that inserting a print cartridge is a little tricky. If it isn't completely inserted and the top latch fastened correctly, the cartridge either won't work or produce errors.

Try reseating the color cartridge so it's inserted in exactly the same way as the black cartridge and run a print job again.

Open the following web page and go to Step three to see the instructions for cleaning the electronic contacts on the cartridge and print carriage.

Ink Cartridge Alignment Fails

Those seem the most likely causes and solutions to me. Good luck.

Canon ip4000 flashing 12 times

For 11 orange flashes (Canon doesn't list 12) Canon says its an automatic print head alignment error: -make sure ink tanks are snapped in correctly http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SuprtKnowledgeBaseAct&fcategoryid=184&modelid=10438 -place 8.5 x 11 paper in the automatic sheet feeder, anything smaller will cause this error. -Remove the printer from strong light; apparently a sensor in the paper output slot can be affected. -Also you said you replaced all the cartridges with new ones, were the new from HP? If not I would definitely try replacing them all.
