Hi Robin. I have never used fire stick but I do have ROKU in 3 rooms in my home and I get lots of free movies, news, sports tv shows etc. Works from Wi-Fi. https://www.roku.com/index
Amazon Fire TV provides 16GB storage while Roku storage is quite lesser with 512 MB storage. External storage comes as a life saver. Random Access Memory is also better in Cube TV than Roku Ultra streaming device.
You can use wired or wireless in both the devices. Bluetooth is available in Fire TV Cube but not in Roku Ultra. Make sure you have proper network connection and that is what required playing quality contents.
So Fire Stick is easier for you to handle and deal with. For more details visit https://www.go-roku.com
