Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your ITunes? It sounds as though your ITunes is corrupted.

Download ios

iOS is not an app - it is the running system of an iPad and is to be dowloaded from Apple:

- the download depends on the model of your iPad:
For the iPad first generation (A1219) to update is only possible with connecting the device to iTunes on a computer.
- but this model supports only iOS 5
- NO iOS 6/7/8
-------------------
for all other models:
There are two ways to upgrade the iOS version of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch - via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer
- or directly from within the device, but only snce iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)
just go to: settings - general - software update

My mac wont let me update safari and in turn i cant access itunes store

Have you tried going to:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

to download the latest version of iTunes?

You mentioned Safari, but you'll use iTunes to access the store. If you need the latest version of Safari, go to:

http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

Safari requires at least Mac OS X 10.4.11 (click Apple menu in top, left corner and "About this Mac" to determine your version). iTunes is similar, though it requires 10.5.x and a more powerful computer for some features.

If you don't have at least 10.4, I'd recommend upgrading to it or 10.5, depending on which Mac you have. 10.5 works best on at least PowerPC G5 machines (such as iMac G5) or Intel machines (such as Intel iMac or MacBooks).

Good luck, and please let us know if this worked for you.

Ipod touch 2G - can not upgrade OS without crashing. Currently on 2.1-ish. Have tried Apple's update to latest OS, as well as some versions in between. Any ideas?

Try to reset the network settings.
Go to your iPod settings. Click on 'Reset Network Settings' .
Now, try to upgrade it.

Macbook not recognising new Quicktime 7.3 or 7.6

Did you download the right version of it? You may have accidentally downloaded a version Windows, rather than Mac.

Go back and download it again, and make sure that you are downloading a version for mac.

Hi We have an 8 year old PC running windows XP, iTunes 6.0. My wife wants to download some stuff from the itunes store, which prompts us for an upgrade. Have now been round the same loop about 8 times ->...

delete your current version of itunes by going into
Control Panel----Remove Programs---click on iTunes 6 and Right click and uninstall.
then go to http://www.apple,com/itunes/
and download a clean version.
Install it and your all set.
