Happened to me, too. I hadn’t placed the top hinge covers back on after removing the doors to move the fridge. The sensors that tell the fridge the doors are closed are in the hinge covers.
Mine wouldn't stop beeping and the light on the left side wouldn't turn on along with no water and ice.
my solution was I had a arlo camera that has a magnet in it and it was sitting on the top left of the fridge, I move it and everything was back to normal.
it was driving me nuts for over an hour. I hope this helps someone.
My LJ refrigerator alarm started going off continuous a few days ago. I don't have a fancy model where you can turn off the alarm. After going after all the possible causes, I realized a needed a new gasket but thought I'd lose my mind waiting for the part. Came up with an easy solution. The open door alarm starts when a sensor detects light when the door is closed. I looked in each compartment for something that could be a sensor and spotted two identical rectangles near each door. Covered each with duct tape. Sweet, sweet silence.
P.S. Use a large piece and make sure the surface is bone dry or the freezer one can let in light once frozen.
P.P.S It’s still goes off sometimes when someone opens either door, but I just close both doors firmly and it stops again. Not a perfect fix, but sanity saving.
If unit is correct coldness check seals on doors if ok also make sure fan is running

**Buzzer Sound Mute mode**
Will set the buzzer/beep/error/ding/alarm sound to "off"
Press and hold the "Express FRZ" button for more than 5 seconds (you will hear a beep, the final beep!), and Mute mode is active until the next reset.
You can unmute with another 5 second press on the "Express FRZ" button.
Perhaps your model has the same. I found this info in the Service manual and not in the user manual.
I'm having same issue I did replace both door magnetic switch and keeps doing it. I called Local technician and after diagnost everything he called LG because you couldn't find the issue also and LG told us that the door replacement needs to be done????????
It can be fixed without replacing the door. Cost Rs.3200. [email protected] located in delhi.

Hi, welcome to Fixya A very common problem with those fridges actually. Check to make sure the door sensor`s are secure and contacting each other when the door is closed. You can do this by accessing one or both sides of the door sensors at the hinge assembly cover at the cabinet top. There should be sensor`s on either side which sense when the door is closed by "making" with magnets on the doors. They sometimes become loose from where they are held in place and therefore do not indicate the door is actually closed. That is the most likely cause. If this does indeed help you solve your issue please take a moment and rate it accordingly. If it doesn't solve the problem let me know and I'll try and assist you further. Thanks for visiting "fixya" today. good luck. macmarkus :)

the only other option the latch located in the fridge has a loose wire
which need to repaired by a fridge tec but also if the fridge seems
like its not getting cold the thermostack that make the fridge cold may
be malfunction

Hello,
Sounds like you have a bad door switch. Depending on the age of the fridge, it might still be under warranty. If it's not, then you might be able to access the door switch yourself and pull it out & replace it.
Good luck......

Hi.
Try disconnecting power cord for ten minutes (turning off is not enough). See if that does reset the fridge.
If that does not help, then check if there is ice forming in evaporator coil at the back of the fridge. Eventually wait one or two extra day. If ice starts forming and fridge quits cooling, then you have a problem with the defrost system. Likely the thermostat or the defrost timer.
IF the unit keeps cooling regularly, and defrost is OK, then it may be a disconnected temperature sensor. This will cause beeping, and fridge cooling regularly.
About defrost control, see this article: When the fridge is not cooling ...

Thanks but our 2020 model doesn’t have a “Express FRZ” button. I unplugged and we’re going to buy a cheap fridge (not LG) one with no beeping sound.
