To my knowledge, Error Code 37 on a Fisher & Paykel machine refers to "drain fault" which could either mean that the drain valve will not open or that the drain pump will not run. The easiest user intervention that could be performed is to check for any blockage/clog at the drain filter, drain pipe, drain pump impeller and drain valve.

Fault Code 37 is "Pump Blocked Error" which means for some reason the machine did not drain properly. This can be due to a blockage in the pump such as a lint ball or wire from a bra that got down in the pump, perhaps a safety pin, etc. It also can be caused by objects that get past the pump but become caught inside the diverter valve, which is downstream from the pump. One other thing to be aware of, and this trips people up sometimes- a pump that is failing ELECTRICALLY can also cause the same error. If the pump is overheating and shutting down, the machine will not drain and the control will properly sense that there is still water in the tub. I've suggested in the past that this error be renamed "pump error" because the term "blocked" makes people look for an absolute condition. Since you have cleaned the pump, check the diverter valve for any obstructions.

This machine calls this error number for most faults.
So first let us know what stage it stops at.
The most common fault is blockage in the pump.
Remove the power plug, disconnect the 2 water hoses and tilt the machine onto its front.
It is simple to remove and replace. Disconnect the 2 sockets from the pump The pump is held in position by a latch on the left hand side. Depress the latch and twist the pump anti clockwise. Clean out , add a smear of vaseline to the rubber ring.
Reassemble in reverse

the pump could have overheated nd burnt out or u could have damaged the controller

Emptied washer, tipped it on its side, detached drainage pipes underneath, and pulled out old fabric/lint/blockage with tweezers. Plugged in, switched on, all good.

Cleared out the diverter valve (full of lint) then the machine started pumping properly.

you have a clogged diverter valve, its blue and looks like a Y, it will need to be replaced, if you want call 1-888-936-7872 they can order the part and walk you thru replacing it

That code is a PUMP BLOCKED ERROR.
This could be as simple as an object caught in the pump or it could be the pump itself has failed. I often see objects caught in the pump. If you can do so safely, unplug the machine, tip the machine back enough to be able to see underneath, and look for the electric pump. You will see a back impeller for cooling the motor windings. Try and turn this by hand, it should turn easily. If it will not turn, then you know there is something keeping it from turning. Be aware that if you pull that pump out with water in the tub, you are going to have a tremendous mess.
