I purchased a fire stick and I'm trying to hook it is to my tv I'm getting nothing should I still have my cable wire in my tv I have tried both ways and get nothin

If you are trying to make your TV audio come out your Sony system, you didn't say what the input to your TV was from (ex;Cable TV,Sat TV).

Sometimes it is easier to take the external (cable or Sat) out puts and feed the video into the TV but the red white into the AMP (TV input)then select TV on your AMP to hear TV.

Also some tv's need to make a speaker choice! go to Set up and change the speaker set up for the TV, you may have to tell the TV no speakers to create out put to Amp from the REd White TV out put.

sometimes if the tuner is not damaged then a technician can put it back on... the other option is to tune the channel through a vcr.. essentally bypassing the tv tuner and useing vcr tuner. hook the cable to vcr then using rca jacks yellow red and white connect it to you tv(if it has rca jacks ...most have them these days.. sometimes on front and sometime on back or even on the side.. tune your tv to that input(video 1 or something like that.. then using your vcr remote change channel...its not a perfect solution but it will save you the 130 buck most charge to repair that connector

Here's one solution, if you have an audio output from your tv, you can go from the audio output on your tv to the audio input on your receiver that way anything that is playing on your tv for example, playstation 3, dvd player etc. Anything playing on your tv will have audio on your onkyo home theater system. The other thing I would try if you want to hook ps3 directly to receiver is go to your connection settings on your ps3 menu and change your connection method to digital optical cable.

Dod you use HOTKEYS on the laptop to tell it to send the signal the VGA outlet of the laptop? The hotkeys function can be set to turn off the laptop screen and only have external monitor to be the only display or it can be set to have both of them on.
