The document feed rollers may be dirty/worn which is causing the paper to come into the scan area late causing your document cut offs. use a clean, lint-free cloth dampened (not moist) with water and clean the document feed rollers. Confirm they are dry then, try scanning multiple pages and see if they pull through without stalling. If they do, it's time to replace those rollers.
Do you see any issue with the print quality? If everything is working ok and it's still making a noise call your photocopier provider. If you dont have one, i work for a xerox partner. Either call or email us and i will get someone to advise you.
the paper size detector may not detect the original size of the document check the paper tray indicator light on the panel and make sure the direction is the same with the original document onthe glass
Hello sir; When you make copy is through by ADF? make another copy leave on the glass, compare both, is that same with the line then you have to replace drum blade, if first one with the line and second one without the line, then you need to clean a narrow strip glass on left hand side of the plateform.
Press,,,,, Menu #1934 . What you may want to try first is to do what is called the Shading adjustment. That calibrates the scanner. It would be found in the maintenance menu after you enter diagnostics. You must place 5 pieces of white paper on the glass before you perform the adjustment. There really is no way to increase the amount of toner concentration on that machine. You may very well have a defective ink cartridge. That is not uncommon on the C20. There is a metering blade in the toner cartridge that often times does not allow enough ink to be applied to the toner roller.
Open the cover and put a piece of paper on only half the glass, and make a copy. BLOCK the left side of the glass with the blank paper. See where it is blank. Most of the times that is a dirty or haved up mirror in the scan head. One of the small mirrors in the black assembly under the lamp. When a digital copier scanner optics become dirty, the image in that area becomes very light .
