SOURCE: top part of base broke off

This just happened to me too, and I think I just fixed it.  First you have to get a replacement part called the "blender coupling" (I got mine online from Goodmans for $3.99).  I also replaced the square drive and slinger (two parts come together for $2.99)-that's the little part that sticks up and attaches to the pitcher.
Unscrew the bottom four screws of the base where the rubber feet are.  Remove the rubber skirt to reveal four screws that hold the motor in.  They are way in there so you'll need a long screw driver.  Remove the motor and unscrew the old coupling.  Mine had not been replaced since my grandmother bought this blender who knows when, so the coupling was really stuck.  I did not have a tool narrow enough to get a good grip to apply enough torque to remove the coupling so I had to try a few other tricks.  If your blender is the same, remove the bottom nut, fan blade and two washers.  This gave enough of a rod to grip to get the old coupling off.  (I also had to use some WD40, and heat and cool the coupling a few times to break the old seal).
Good luck!  Hope that helps!

SOURCE: replace oster kitchen center base drive part

I'am the guy who posted the comment I found out how to do this.
There are 2 possible solutions the 2nd is not pretty, hope the first works for you it didn't for me.

1- The motor must be lock up, by placing a thin screwdriver through the holes in the base into the fan down into the motor, holding the screwdriver, remove the square drive from the top.The part you are trying to remove actually is screwed into a gear in the gear box, you will need a spanner wrench,(sometimes a strong pair of long nose pliers will work, engage the spanner holes, hold the screwdriver ,and try to unsrew it, you may need someone to hold the screwdriver, because it takes a lot of force to loosen it.These are regular threads, and unscew counter clockwise.

2- if #1 doesn't work-this will- but its not so pretty. The motor assembly attached to the gear box will have to be removed,it will come out as one piece
Remove the bottom plate, unplug the white wire from the speed control, and the blue- white wire from the board, also you will have to remove one of the brushes with the white -blk lead.
Now you will have to actually break off of the top plastic(bakelite)by whatever means you dream up (I actually used a small wood chisel to score a line, and crack it) once its cracked, it breaks apart easily.Once thats done turn it over and remove the four screws holding the gear box to the housing you will now be able to remove the gear-box motor assembly.
Remove the 3 screws from the top of the gear box pry the box open, remove the gear with the piece that needs to be replaced, now you need to get the piece unscrewed from the gear.I did this by locking the nurled end into a vise, and very carefully grabing the gear teeth with large channel locks(if you think of a better way thats great)it work for me,but I was very concerned about the gear teeth, you can't slip.
Try the new piece to make sure it sets all the way down to the bottom of the gear(it must or your head will be to high ,and won't lock down)if all is well, make sure everything is greased, and start re-assembly, the new coupler ,and the square drive will be the last 2 pieces assembled from the top, once again locking the motor with a small screwdriver.

SOURCE: Moen 7065 leaking at base of lever control in kitchen faucet

Yes, a cartridge will probably solve it. There are two different Moen cartridges so be sure to take the old one with you so you get the correct one.

Does a distributor from a 1993 geo storm gsi 1.8 fit a 1993 geo storm base?

most probably not, the GSi has a different head. Base has a 12 valve, GSi has a 16V. Check for part numbers. Do you need just the cap or the entire distributor?

My display on my cordless/corded Phone won't light up. The cordless ones say out of range, or Searching. What can I do?

Is it the base display that won't light up? Can you make a call from the base? do you get a dial tone on the base?

Remove all batteries and unplug it all. Leave it sit for a few minutes. If that does not do anything, then it likely needs repair.

If the base makes a call, but cordless doesn't work, then likley the rf radio is damage by static from the storm.

My 7680 clean and charge unit does not work

If it simply does not work at all, the circuit board is probably damaged. This is not repairable and you will need to buy a replacement. You will find a new clean and charge base at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Phone can't find a signal.

Put the handset into the base when it's plugged in, the light on the phone should blink and connect.

As for the unplugging part, buy yourself either a surge protector (and a relatively good one, not a cheapie version) or a small UPS (a.k.a. a battery backup unit) that will protect your phone from electrical damage from storms.

After a storm and the power went out, but don't think I was hit

Cordless phones are notorious for taking a hit from lightning storms. Your main base is more than likely the trouble. This leaves the remainer of the phone system ophans, unless you can find the same model of base system to replace it. The only testing you can do is unplug the every other phone in the home, and only leave the main base plugged in lto see if the line clears...it just may be one of the other, with a little luck. You may also want to try just plugging in a single corded phone to verify that line coming into home is good also.

My network card got damaged during a storm. Dell desktop 4600c

If you don't want to wait until Dell send you back one, just go to Best Buy or any other computer store and buy a small-factor PCI network card, I assume you have an free PCI slot available, if you have a wireless router then it maybe be easy to get an external USB-based wireless network card.
