How do I update my out of date yahoo mail settings

Fix problems with Yahoo Mail

Good day, check your system date and time on the right side bottom of your screen if it's up to date. If it's not you must change the system date and time by clicking it and click change date and time settings and click change date and time. After that try again log on, like facebook or yahoomail.

You may or may not have Internet Explorer as your default browser but it still plays an important part in the operation of Yahoo Messenger either way.
For this reasson you must keep it up to date and the support software for IE as well.
Update Internet Explorer
Check your scripting settings

To enable scripting:Internet Explorer8

Click "Tools"
Click "Internet Options."
Click "Security" tab.
Click "Custom Level" button.
Scroll down to "Script ActiveX.controls marked safe for scripting"- enable
Scroll down to "Scripting - Active scripting" - enable
Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" - enable
Click OK
Click OK
Restart IE

Still not working ? Update support software. This software is essential for the operation of Yahoo Messenger but it is not included in the Messenger download.

After updating check you do not have old versions of Flashplayer, Shockwaveplayer and Java running alongside the latest - this can cause conflicts
Start / control panel / programs
delete any old versions

Keep your software up to date by using an update checker

If you are chatting from Yahoo All New Mail - try going into Yahoo Classic Mail via the options tab.If its OK you may have a resolution problem - The screen resolution for All New Mail should be a minimum 1024 x 768 pixels.
Right click on a blank area of your desktop and select 'Personalize'.
Select 'Display Settings.Make a note of your resolution setting. Ramp it up if required.
If this presents a problem go to 'Options' in Yahoo Mail and tranfer to Yahoo Classic Mail.

Try disabling Norton just long enough to do a check and see if if your scripting functions OK.You may have to grant Yahoo full access

INSTALL YAHOO MESSENGER 10..........

No there's no option to do that but what you can do is check their profile at profiles.yahoo.com to get their latest update and you can see the time/day/date as well.

You will have 2 versions if you have 2 browsers so be careful not to delete them.

Run system restore to a date before the update of IE8.

Good luck.

Check the time on your computer. If it's wrong, the computer thinks the certificate is out of date, or not in date yet.
