Question 1: Will the tablet operate on the docking station (or power cord) without the battery in place?
If not, the power circuit on the tablet motherboard is broken.
Question 2: If you plug in the power cord into the tablet, is the connection "loose"?
Check the other tablet to see if it is the same loosness at the tablet power connector.
If it is loose, the power receptical in the tablet can be soldered back onto the motherboard.
Recommend taking it into a shop to re-solder.
If under warranty, get it repaired.
If not under warranty, your choice if you want to use it they way it is.
Hope this helps...

We contacted Motion about an issue with our docking station because our power & USB ports stopped working, or worked only intermittently. We were instructed to remove the front cover from the docking station to check the connection of the cables. We found that the cable had completely disconnected (it had evidently pulled loose from tilting the dock up and down). Once the cable was reattached, and the cover reassembled, viola! Success!

I have just had same problem. Battery on M532 absolutely refused to charge from flat.Tablet worked when plugged in so I downloaded an app killer from android market and killed all but the essential apps then tried again and it seemed top work! Maybe background apps draining battery at faster rate than could be charged?

your charger probably died. go out and by a new one and see if that fixes your issue.

the more programs you install and run in the back ground the more the battery is drained. It comes to a point where there are so many programs running the gadget cannot run & charge at the same time. It might charge better if you uninstall a lot of programs or do a factory reset but that is drastic
Testimonial: "I did do a factory reset but the icon is still not showing and it still is slow at recharging. I didn't really have many programs anyway, a few simple card games, crossword puzzles and some weather apps. Right now, I think I have maybe 4 simple apps on the tablet and it is still not charging when on. I checked the battery status in settings and it says "not charging". However, if I turn it off and then plug it in, a red battery indicator shows it as charging."
