There should be a small hole on the top of the strimmer head. Put a small screwdriver in the hole as far diwn as you can then spin the head till the screw driver drops down a little more . Once you have done that the hole head will unscrew.

SOURCE: what is the correct ratio gas to oil for my stihl fs 66 trimmer

Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the oil manufacturer's recommended ratio. Today it is usually 50:1.

SOURCE: stihl fs 45 ignition problem no spark

Disconnect the small spade terminal wires from the coil itself and test for spark. If you do not have spark replace coil. If you do have spark check those small wires for insulation damage and grounding. If wires are OK check kill switch.
NOTE: DO NOT START MACHINE with small wires unplugged! Only test for spark.

SOURCE: Replacing trimmer line with blade for stihl fs 90r trimmer

If you bought the trimmer new there should be a rod about 6" long and 1/8" thick. Above the trimmer head below the trimmer gearbox there is a hole. You have to put the rod in that hole and turn the head until that locks it from turning.

From there you can screw the trimmer head off by hand, or a strap wrench if it's really tight. It may be left hand threads.

SOURCE: Where can I get a gearhead for an old Stihl FS 66 trimmer?

from a stihl parts shop, on line from the manufacturer or if there is one at your local dump , the reuse shop that will have heaps of trimmers
Basically ant trimmer head that fits on the shaft will do the job as the drive is a square hole.

How to change heads on stihl fs 81?

There should be a hole in the gear box for a pin. Insert something in that hole to hold the shaft from turning and unscrew the head. I believe it is reverse thread
