SOURCE: Can't hear anything in my bluetooth headset, mic is working
Hi--First, make sure your "mute" function is off. Try holding both volume buttons at the same time for a second or two. If that doesn't help, while you're having a conversation, either with or without bluetooth, make sure your phone's volume is turned up. On a lot of phones the volume button will control both ringer and conversation volumes, but turning it up without the phone in use only affects the ringer volume. My husband thought there was something wrong with his bluetooth until we noticed his phone volume was set too low--not as noticeable on handset, but bluetooth apparently needs volume up pretty high!

SOURCE: H170 bluetooth headset - I can hear caller but
Because of the design of these headsets, over time the wire leading to the mic can wiggle and break loose, which allows you to hear fine, but prevents the listener from hearing you. My bet is that it's the red wire, as it tends to have more pressure placed on it. The dismantle process isn't easy (i'm working on the very same problem at the moment!) but if you'd like to try it and are able to do very fine resoldering I can share my notes with you. Otherwise, you're out of luck and will need to purchase a new headset. Sorry I can't give you better news!

Turn on Bluetooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.2
Enable the Bluetooth radio by going to the options window and clicking on Bluetooth. Click on Enable Bluetooth in that window.3)Add your Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry by clicking on Add Device in the Bluetooth window.4)Find and select the name of your Bluetooth headset from the list that appears. The Blackberry will search for all Bluetooth devices within range, so other devices might show up on the list.5)Click Activate Bluetooth device if you receive a call and the Bluetooth headset does not pick up automatically
