If you use a fast charger, or a power charger, that can be the cause of your trouble. I used to charge with different power chargers till I learned they push every battery over its limits. After at least 3 different power chargers and about 100 defective batteries, I now charge my batteries with normal slow chargers. Before I can go on a shoot, sometimes 8 slow chargers are charging a whole night. But since I stopped using the power chargers I never lost a battery on overcharging (actually overheating)

SOURCE: initial charging time

hi there
the first charge should be around 12 hours, this then teaches the battery its max load.
ignore the charger if tells you its charged after a couple of hours.
after the first charge use as normal.

hope this helps

SOURCE: I have a problem with power on Olympus SP-550UZ

Try using regular batteries. I did with my camera and seems I can go a lot longer on the regular batteries verses the re-chargable ones

SOURCE: energizer CH2PC-UK battery charger' how long do i

Charge time depends on the mAh capacity of the batteries (should be listed on the package, or the side of the battery) most AAAs are under 900mAh so 2 hrs should be sufficient, but AAs vary greatly in capacity so heres a link to check after you look up your mAh rating

Fuji battery charger BC-45 - red light blinks when I put in battery and battery does not charge

Ok all mine had the same problem however problem has been solved! The power cord that plugs into the charger is a common cord you may have laying around the house. I switched the power cord to my charger and the dreaded blinking stopped! Its just a bad power cord to the charging unit! Hope this helps!

My Duracell battery charger has a blinking red light.Use to be a constant red then green when it was charged. Now, just red..then blinking red..then not at all.

I had the same problem with flashing red lights. Both sides on a four battery charger. I swapped the batteries to another charger and the batteries were fine. They charged normally. I put some different batteries in the charger and the same flashing light situation. Those batteries also charged normally in a different charger. I looked closely at the back of the charger and, low and behold, "made in China". Why does that not surprise me. The bottom line, it may not be a battery issue.

When I insert some batteries the red light begins blinking. I also have some Duracells that appear to be charging but when I place them in the appliance they are dead.

All chargers cannot charge all types of batteries. Are your Duracell batteries NiMH or Alkaline? These indications generally happen when you insert a battery type that is not rechargeable.

HI I PROBABLY THREW OUT THE INSTRUCTIONS. SO HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THE CHARGER CEF 15NC HAS COMPLETED CHARGING THE BATTERIES?

gripfitter is incorrect, that charger is made to charge in 15 minutes. It has a cooling fan and when batteries are inserted a red light comes on and the fan starts. When light goes out and fan stops, the batteries are charged. (light should not blink as that indicates one or more of the batteries has a problem)

I bought this online, does not have operating instructions. Help

Hi, you can ask the manufacturer of the item you have both so that if it broken, they will replace that whit a new one. But depend on the situation and condition of the item :)

Flashing lights

I had the same problem. 1 of four way's can fix it. #1 Put a batt. that has a little charge in that flashing spot 1st. and see if that works. #2 put the batt. in that flashing slot first and then in the 1st slot, If that did'nt work, #3 Put Batt. in backwards for 1 sec. in and out fast. and I do say very fast, In that flashing spot. #4 buy a new one. The one that fixed mine was #1 and it stoppppped flashing, The order I put them in was - 3-1-2-4 I put in #3 batt. first, it was the one flashing And it worked, You may have a bad batt. or it's on it's way out, but try It. worked for me!
