1. Power the device down by holding the power and volume up buttons until the screen turns off. Also, remove the SD card you might have inserted into the device.

2. When the device is powered off, hold the power and the volume up and down buttons simultaneously. When the Pandigital logo appears then, release the three buttons

3. Immediately again press all three of the power and volume buttons until the Pandigital logo appears again, then let go. The device then should display an image of a triangle with an Android robot and an exclamation point.

4. Once the Android triangle image appears tap and release the power and volume up and down buttons.

5. To navigate through the recovery use the volume down button until "Wipe data and cache" is highlighted.

6. Tap the power button to select "Wipe data and cache", you will then be asked to confirm you selection. Use the volume down button to highlight "Yes" then tap the power button to confirm.

7. Once the system has wiped the cache and data you will be directed back to the main menu of recovery mode. "Reboot system now" should be highlighted, if not use the volume down button to highlight this option.

8. Tap the power button to select "Reboot system now" once it has been highlighted.

9. After a few moments, the device will reboot. When it has fully powered up you will be directed to the device`s initial setup wizard. Please follow these prompts to reset your preferences.

10. Once you have completed the setup wizard your device will be as good as new.

Bypass a forgotten lock code

Make sure the tablet has been turned off first by holding down the power button until you get the power off dialog box and choose power off. Then hold down the volume button and while continuing to hold the volume button, hold down the power button until you get a message like 'booting into recovery mode' or a dialog box that allows you to go into recovery mode and do a factory reset. Some tablets may boot into a screen with the Android robot on it that you can touch the robot and get to the recovery mode screen. When you do a factory reset, all user information stored on the tablet will be cleared, including the passwords or lock codes.

I bought the tablet off of face book yard sale and

Hi there! Ignore the other answer, they're giving a generic Google search result. On the screen with the Android, press the power and both volume buttons all together in quick intervals until a new screen pops up. Use the volume keys to select Data Wipes/Factory Reset, then do the same for yes, then restart the tablet

7" supersonic tablet is stuck on the opening android screen and will not boot. The tablet's battery power went empty during the last use and was fully charged afterward.

You'll need to do a factory reset:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.

Resetting instructions

You could try doing a factory reset and then see if the device will turn on:

  1. If your tablet is on, power it off.
  2. Press and hold Power until the device powers on, then immediately press and hold Volume Down (while still pressing Power). You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.
  3. Press Volume Down twice to designate Recovery mode.
  4. Press Power to restart into Recovery mode. You will see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark.
  5. While holding down Power, press Volume Up.
  6. Use the volume keys to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press Power to select it.
  7. Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data" and press Power to select it.

What does it mean when android robot is laying on its back

I am giving you an example with an Motorola Tablet. I'd try clearing your cache partition, you can get to the android recovery with your buttons.
1. Turn tablet off. You may need to use two hands in this process to press and hold buttons properly.

2. Turn on the tablet with power button, wait a full 2 seconds from the time the tablet starts showing the red Motorola logo, then press and hold the down Volume key. (you should not hold down the power button after it turns on and logo appears)

3. "Android Recovery" will appear on top of screen if timing is done correctly. Release volume button. (if you continue to press volume down at that message, the message will cycle through "RSD, Fastboot, and back to Android Recovery. Make sure message states Android Recovery before you go to next step). If stuck at a RSD protocol or Fast boot screen, reboot the tablet by holding power button then pressing the volume up).

4. While screen states "Android Recovery", Press volume up button, the screen will say "Entering Android recovery mode" and a few seconds later an Android robot graphic will appear alone on the screen. Release buttons.

5. Hold down power button and then press the volume up key together to see the Android Recovery screen menu selections.

6. Use the volume buttons to move up and down through selection in this menu.

7. Using the volume down button, scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset"

8. Tap Power hard key to select option.

9. Scroll down to select "Yes, delete all user data".

10. Tap the power button to select. Wiping and formatting data will take a few minutes.

11. You will return back to the Android recovery screen menu.

12. Tap the Power button to "Reboot system now" which will power-cycle tablet and eventually power back on to the Initial Set-up / Welcome screen present when you first turned on your tablet.
As you're going through the options don't do the factory data reset, look for wipe cache partition then follow the instructions to reboot.

Hope this helps!!! Let me know if you need more help
