The WD40 should not have done any harm, unfortunately the faults with the door lock cannon be fixed with CRC, You will need to replace the door lock assembly and hopefully the machine will resume normal operation.

Sounds like a pump problem. Could be a broken impeller, or something has got past the filter and has jammed it. Try removing the filter assembly inside, and see if anything is visible in the pump chamber. It may be too late and the pump is broken.

SOURCE: Indesit WIA 121 washing machine,

One of the main problems with Indesit front loaders ( apart from replacing the door interlock switch) is

If the door will not close and click in the lock, then take the door off with a tork screwdriver and take the screws of the inner plastic off the door (make sure you do this on a flat surface) and gently prize off the inner plasic by running round a flat head screwdriver..
Once you have taken off the door and glass bowel - check out the door catch to see if a metal rod has come out of its housing holding the catch and spring in place and refit or replace.
I have come across many door catches like this.

SOURCE: Hoover washer/dryer VHW854D SHOWS ERROR

I have exactly the same problem. Hoover Service Centre told me to tip a bucket of warm water into the drum and leave for 5 minutes before switching it back on. The idea is that the machine may be affected by the cold weather. Needless to say it made no difference and Error 11 remains - I am expecting an engineer on Thursday 23 I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

Try some WD40 spray on the door and lock. Just a bit. Try closing and opening the door. The machine should be in the <off> position.

1. Problem noticed a couple of years ago - When it gets cold (40F or below), my passenger side door cannot be opened from inside or outside. The door lever just moves but doesn't seem to...

BMW and Mercedes had the same problem. They changed the type of grease used to assemble the door latch mechanism.

WD40 Squirted into the lock area often does the trick.

Roll down the window and aim nozzle/straw at interior latch mechanism.

Put WD40 straw into key hole and squirt .

INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL NOT GO OUT ON A 97 FORD F-150. DOORS ARE SHUT

thats pretty common in a Ford, spray wd40 into the latch on both doors and open and close them a few times and the lights should go off.Just to fill you in,my old work truck was a 99 f-350 and that happened to that truck, and it took me a while to figure it out,the dome light switch is in the latch. After you try spraying with wd40,you will have to lubricate the latches,so buy some GRAFITE lock lubricant which is a powder and squirt some on each latch, should be good for a long while.
