I recently purchased a Shark Navigator (White). When I vacuum my carpet - marks, like a rake might leave, show where I've cleaned. Is there an adjustment to eliminate these marks?

Not really. These mark indicate a good clean carpet and go away when step on. You can reduce the amount of suction with the window suction control. It's located just below the handle. This will help with less marks on the carpet but will not take it away completely. Some people like these rack marks on the carpet.

The vacuum is working fine- you have the brush setting set to low- raise it up to carpet, it seems to be set for hard floor or tile.

SOURCE: My Shark Navigator works very well, great suction. However, it is very hard to push on carpet. Can this be adjusted?

Two things make carpet vacing easier. First is the floor piece. It should be a smooth slight rounded shaped piece with just a small line of bristles or none at all. Second is mostly for area rugs is to open the suction vent usually located near the handle. That allows some air in which takes suction away from the floor piece allowing it to slide on the rug rather than drag it around.

When switch to carpet, the difference is that the brush roller turns. When it is on hard floors setting it doesn't. Remove the base plate, remove the brush and the belt. There is likely something wrapped around the drive spindle or clutch.

Shark navigator n22

What I tried and it worked for me is to losen the hose slightly from where it connects to the long plastic tube on the side to allow the little hole to show. What that does is to lessen the suction power a little since the problem is that the suction is too powerful on the carpet and the roller freezes.
