Go to your control panel from start menu if using any OS other than Windows8. (W8 control panel=settings). At control panel menu, locate "change or uninstall program". Click on this selection and all of your installed programs will appear. Scroll own until "American Greetings Createacard" (or close variation) appears and highlight and click this selection. Now an uninstall option appears either on the same highlighted line or at top. Click uninstall and follow prompts if any appear; clicking "ok" or "yes" if they do. Once this program has uninstalled, you can download it again from the original source and it should operate now as intended.
First, make sure you have a version American Greeting compatible with your operating system. You have Vista Ultimate Edition, but if the software is from, say, Windows 95 it's not going to work.
Second, if your American Greeting is on a CD you usually need only put it in an wait for the setup to start. If it doesn't go to My Computer and double-click on the CDROM (or DVD or whatever) optical drive. That should launch the setup.
Third, if it still doesn't start, look for "setup" in the list of files on the CD and double-click on that.
If none of these start the CD then take the disk to another machine and see if it starts there. If not, you have found the problem. If it does, then it is possible that the CD drive in your system doesn't work properly.
This all assumes that when you say it "wont down load on my computer" you mean it won't run the setup. If it does start but won't load after starting, you will need to provide further information: like does is issue an error message? Does is just sit there for hours on end with the circle spinning? The more you tell us the better we are at figuring out what's wrong.
Windows 7 professional and Windows 7 Ultimate have a "Windows XP mode". It may work without it but if it doesn't just use Windows XP mode. Which you can download here.
The website / Microsoft site does not have any information if this software will work with Windows 7 / Vista, hence it would be a better idea to try installing it and see it it works. If it does not work with windows 7, windows 7 has a very good feature called XP mode to use old software and hardware which are compatible with XP but not with windows 7.
Please check the link below for details of what is XP mode in Windows 7
American Greetings Creata Card 4 is a software for PC with Platform: Windows 98 / 2000 / NT / 95.
You do not need drivers to install any software on a PC.
If you are trying to install the above software to your Vista OS, it is not compatible. If you are looking for a patch for Vista, there isn't any from the developer Broderbund because the version is replaced with newer versions.
