Kiyocera 2550 how to change drum - Kyocera CS-2550 Black and White Copier

this - two- reasons 1- the corrona on the top of drum unit is very dirty or its connection point are dirty with toner . just clean it then replace it again .if that not help you ll need to chick the corrona board

Your copier utilizes a print drum cleaning blade similar to a windshield wiper. That blade is distorted or worn , affecting that area of drum. IF a techie, you could remove BOTH print drum & blade, clean BOTH with cotton "ROUNDS" & SILICONE car polish. Buff drum thoroughly dry, reassemble.

You need to clean or change the charger unit, if you open front cover you will see green unit going inside the drum, you can take it out and clean or if it is too bad change it.

ok. try this, take the rear cover off, theres quite a few screws. what i'm thinking has happened is you may have pushed the contact for the main corona wire out of place. this board is pretty flimsy. once you have back cover off, the board will be slightly to the right of center as u r looking at machine from rear. i can't recall EXACTLY what board looks like, but if you loosen your drum unit and have someone pull out drum a little and push back in, you will see what and where i am talking about. i'm a tech and had this bite me in the behind one time. will never forget it. hopefully, that will take care of it for you. let me know what you find.

the drum unit on this model has two plugs which need to be plugged in and one on the dev unit that can come loose.
also the metal mechanism under the dev unit has to be pushed in to enable toner to get onto the drum.
is the transfer roller fitted correctly?

You will need to replace the image drum. This is either due to the face that you have exceeded the number of pages/cycles that the drum supports or the drum has damage. If this is the drum that came with the printer, it is likely they shipped it with "starter" supplies which last a fraction of the time as the regular "full retail" replacement supplies.
