SOURCE: lighting pilot light on magic chef gas range
Hello Jim,
Try to replace the ignitor if it is more than 3 or 4 yrs. old..If it not that old then Turn the knob to the pilot setting and depress the handle. Holding it
down and at the same time, press down on the red button that sparks.
You may have to repeat this a few times. Once the pilot lights,
continue to hold down on the pilot knob for about 30 seconds. When you
release the knob, the flame should stay oN. If it does not, replace the
thermocouple. Once the pilot flame is steady, turn the gas valve knob
to on!!!..Thank you...
Hope this helps you!!...
Regards!!!....
