Hi Kevinjones, there are several ways to reboot your iPhone.
Visit the link below for more help on restarting your device:

How to restart

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

How to force restart You should force restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch as a last resort, and only if it's not responding. Follow these steps to force restart your device:

  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone iPad or iPod touch

Why wont my main screen show

Hello,
I will need to know what model phone that you are currently using before I am able to provide any furth assistance.
Until you provide your phones model, I will give you two basic reboot processes for most non-smartphones and smartphones.

1. You may attempt to reboot the phone simply by pressing and holding the lock screen/power button.

2. You may attempt to reboot the phone by removing the battery (if easily accessible) and counting down from 10 and re-inserting the battery.

3. For iPhones, you may attempt the reboot process by pressing , and holding the lock screen/power button, and the home button until the screen becomes black and the device goes Into the reboot process.

4. Lastly, for some smart phones you may power the device off by pressing and holding both the volume UP and the lock screen until the screen becomes black and the device enters the reboot process.

If none of these work, please leave specify the model of your cellphone device and I will provide further assistance and advice. Thank you

Keeps rebooting itself over and over

SIMPLE FIX:
Symptom: My blackberry BB keeps rebooting and restarting; endless loop.

Solution: Remove battery, Re-Insert Battery, replace case backing & PRESS & HOLD on back of casing when reboot gets to just before home screen.
Keep holding until home screen comes up completely and everything loads. (usually 10-15 seconds once home screen appears)
IMPORTANT: WHERE to press & hold back of phone/battery casing when rebooting;
On back of phone casing there are 2 gold strips that hold 2 gold nodes on phone down. THIS IS WHERE you press.
In essence you are firmly holding these nodes down with back casing on, just as phone reboots to home screen.

Works every time for me. Hope it works for you.

Pantech Matrix reboots during text msg

Unfortunately this is just a common matrix problem there really isn't any fix. my guess is the phone just sort of gets over loaded and reboots itself.

LG Chocolate: Camera Button reboots phone

The problem was solved by replacing the flex cable that connects the two halves together. My phones screen is back, all the buttons work, and the camera button no longer reboots the phone (also going to camera through mypix doesn't cause reboot either). The cable was very easy to replace and took me 10 minutes at most only using a screw driver and the info in the link I provided ealier.
