My washing machine has a code e21 what do that mean

E21 is that it need new Carbon Brushes on the motor.

Error Code e21 means the water is not pumping out fast enough.The most likely reason is because the washer drain filter is clogged.
Here is a solution:

1. Pull the machine out from the wall.
2. Then take the panel out in the rear. Once the panel is off you will see the drain pump.
3. Disconnect the drain Tube between the Tub and the Pump.
4. Look inside the pipe you will find the Drain Filter.
5. Clean the filter out ( you will be surprised of "things" found in the filter) then put the machine back together
6. Try a full cycle.

That should end your problem.

It is the customer fault code. Simply turn on and turn off appliance.
E11 - problem with fill water
E21 - problem with draining water
E41 - door open
All other errors require service staff !!!

E21 means a problem with the water draining.
Could be defective: drain pump, pressure switch, wiring, current leak between heating element and ground and finally main board.
Also could be drain filter or drain tube (kinked or clogged) and leaks from water circuit on pressure switch.

Family error code "E20" means difficulties in draining, but I never heard for error code E25 on this model. Could be : E21, E23 and E24 error code.

Find the error code reference in your owners manual or check on the companies web site to determine the meaning of the error code and then try to fix .

E21 Circulating pump blockage
This would be caused by a blockage or a poor water flow from the main motor of the dishwasher. This can be caused by a capacitor failure or for other reasons.

The definitive answer depends on the machine model numbers. In Frigidaire, Zanussi, OKO, Electrolux, SMEG and other machines E21 means that there is a drain problem. The repair is carried checking the drain hose at the back and accessing the drain filter (in front at the bottom with most machines from those manufacturers. There is a E21. Water not draining fast enough. Try holding the start/pause and cancel key together for 3 seconds. The door lock, wash, rinse and final spin leds should light. Any error codes should be displayed when holding those keys.
