How to remove/delete 'conduit.search.com'?

conduit.search.com is a adware.

I recommend that you install a good anti - Virus application and scan your computer.

For the time being you can use Malwarebytes. It works good for these Trojans. Please install it and then scan the computer. It would be better if you scan the computer in safe mode.

You can download Malwarebytes from:
http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php

Additionally also scan the computer with Eset Online Scanner.
Eset Online Scanner

**Note** You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan - Vista and win 7 right click on IE shortcut and run as admin

Go Eset web page to run an online scanner from ESET.
  • Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan
  • click on the Run ESET Online Scanner button
  • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
    • Click Start
  • When asked, allow the add/on to be installed
    • Click Start
  • Make sure that the option Remove found threats is unticked
  • Click on Advanced Settings, ensure the options
    • Scan for potentially unwanted applications, Scan for potentially unsafe applications, and Enable Anti-Stealth Technology are ticked.
  • Click Scan
  • wait for the virus definitions to be downloaded
  • Wait for the scan to finish
When the scan is complete
  • If no threats were found
    • put a checkmark in "Uninstall application on close"
    • close program
    • report to me that nothing was found
  • If threats were found
    • click on "list of threats found"
    • click on "export to text file" and save it as ESET SCAN and save to the desktop
    • Click on back
    • put a checkmark in "Uninstall application on close"
    • click on finish
    • close program

I help how to remove trojan/other virus from my window 7 laptop.please help me.

Here's a fee-based service to do it for you:

http://us.norton.com/nortonlive/

To detect the threat level, you may want to try the free (& advertised on TV) web site
www.MySafePC.com, but virus removal will cost $$ - they're happy to tell you you're infected for
free, though.

Here's Symantec's list of things to do:

If you suspect that your computer is infected with a threat or you receive a threat alert, and you want to make sure that your computer is secure.

You can perform a virus scan to eliminate any known threat from your computer. Scanning your computer for threats is easy if you follow the step-by-step instructions provided in this article. The scanning process may take an hour or more, depending on the number of files you have on your computer.

To detect and remove all the threats from your computer, follow these five steps:

• Install the latest virus definitions.

• Stop all running programs and temporarily disconnect the computer from any network.

• Run the virus scan.

• Install the latest Windows updates.

• Run a full system scan once again to ensure that there are no threats.

The first step is to check whether you can install the latest virus definitions, as some threats may block your access to all the security products' Web sites including Symantec's Web site. The subsequent steps vary depending on whether you can download the latest definitions from the Symantec Web site or not.

Do you sell security (antivirus, antispyware, firewall ) if not which is the most compatable ?

Check out download.com (by cnet). I recommend two free programs. Look for and download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 and also download Spybot Search & Destroy 1.62. Install both programs. Then make sure to check for updates and the latest virus definitions.

Reboot your computer and while it's beginning to boot up, press the F8 key to bring up the option to run the PC in "safe mode." Continue booting up the PC in safe mode. Run Malwarebytes first, choose the "quick scan" option. Use the program to elimate any threats found. It may require a reboot to complete the removal process. If so, reboot. After finishing with Malwarebytes, reboot PC again and once again enter safe mode. Run Spybot and when it's finished use the program to eliminate any threats it may find. Spybot may not be able to completely eliminate viruses active in memory and may ask you to let it run again on startup. If so, answer yes and reboot. After the scan(s), use the program to remove any of the threats.

You may also want to download AVG or Avast. They are also free (or at least have free versions) and are very popular.

Hope this helps.

Vista network is not displaying completely domain members but sometimes it shows all computers of domain where as xp in neighbourhood shows all computers. server 2003 ent.

Microsoft Knows of the problem with Vista Network
Unfortunately,I got tired of microsoft making it illegal to tweak the OS to get it to do what you want it to do. (GO LINUX,GO)

I have been forced to use 3rd party software to properly map the network. (network magic) The software also allows me to control who accesses the open wireless we have by allowing me to treat anyone I want as a Threat and block them without securing my wireless.

Sorry I couldn't "Fix" the problem.
