I have an Insignia 46". When I turn the power on it seems to start just fine then goes black after a second. I did the flashlight test and I can see the screen and I have audio.

TV model #: NS-46L780A12 Replaced the backlight inverter with Samsung LJ97-02743A (SSI460_12A01) seems to match original perfectly.

Backlight inverter is just looks like original but not, sorry

Testimonial: "The circuit board that was originally in the TV was a Samsung SSI460_12A01. I replaced it with a Samsung SSI460_12A01. The board I ordered showed as a proper replacement for my model TV. Everything matches between the two boards. Would you mind explaining your comment?"

Since the inverter board has already been replaced I think it's safe to assume that it's not the components. I have to conclude that it's the backlight itself that's having issues. I've been told that there's no way to get parts for it and if there was, it's so labor intensive that it's not worth doing anyway.

Insignia backlight going off after 30 seconds

Honestly that sounds exactly the issue I had. It's the control board. (T-con board) what that means is your power supply and led light controller board are all okay, the T-con board is essentially the brain of the TV and controls the UI, the picture being displayed and gets input from all the other boards. For me it was a 40 dollar fix at the time. Do you know where the board is located on your set? You need that part number on the board to order it. I can upload pics of my disassembly if you like.

46 rca model 46la45rq comes on for just a second then the screen goes black and it only plays sound! what needs to be replaced

Sounds like you have a backlight problem. To verify this, turn on the set and dim the lights in the room. Take a bright flashlight and shine it on the screen. Do you see a faint picture?

I have an Insignia NS-LCD37 was working perfectly fine, all of a sudden the TV went black, I would turn the TV on and you would get the

Most likely you have a fault in the back light circuit. To verify this, turn on the set, when the screen goes black, take a bright flashlight and shine it on the screen. It may be easier to dim the lights in the room so that you can see the faint image on the screen. If you see the faint image, you indeed have a back light problem. You will need to get a diagnoses performed on the set to track down the problem

The l226wtq goes black

Try shining a flashlight on the screen, or without the flashlight, try to see if you can distinguish anything on the screen at all, if you do, the backlight is dead, or the monitor has an internal most likely unfixable problem.

Monitor went black in seconds

oboy, One thing to try is the flashlight test. and get backto me with your findings. Tell me, does this lcd show a nice display only for 1-2 seconds and then a black screen when connected to a fully booted PC with Windows desktop displayed? Shine a bright flashlight 1-2 inches from panel and tell me if you see the WINDOWS START Button at lower left of screen even though screen is black! Get back to me if you can. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @ aol.com BYE for now.

TV was playing, then the screen turned black.

If the screen is black and you have sound then lightly press and shine a strong flashlight against the screen. If you see an image around the edge of the flashlight, an image is being 'displayed'. The problem is probably in the Inverter/CCFT or the power going to the Inverter.
