Question about eMachines Computers & Internet
All I get is an orange screen with the cursor rolling over and over the boot options but the machine is totally unresponsive. None of the keys do anything and I've tried F2, F12, F8 and crashing I've taken the battery out and powered down - nothing! Can anybody help please? Thank you.

I searched for hours for a solution to this. Here it is:
1). Restart your computer, NOT using ctrl - alt - del
2). Press F1 when guided to.
3). When you get into the config menu, select Start Options, then hit enter twice.
There are all the options you need! Cool, huh?

You may have to remove and reset the HDD and Memory on the unit.
Next, you will recv. the F-2 to continue or F-12 to enter setup.
Enter setup and change date and time.
Save and try.
You may have a damaged HD or boot partition and reloading the operating system will be necessary.
Reseating the HD will assure that you have a good connection and the same with the memory.
Also, if the unit has been dropped, you may have a damaged HD and may need to change it.
