Perform fuser cleaning procedure. If not helpful, replace the hot fuser roller. When worn out it collects toner and may lead to repetitive image.

It sounds like it, but before you replace it you might want to troubleshoot this through the HP Toolbox (the software would have come with the printer) if you haven't got it, download it from www.hp.com (it's straight forward and easy to use)

SOURCE: HP 2600n - pages coated with blue toner. Inside

can be one off to issues.
1. If the toners are original HP?
The waste bin can get choked with toner, usually on the left hand side, the excess waste will then be forced out past the sealing blades, forming sprinkles on both the paper, and the black transfer belt. Usually shows when toner getting towards empty.
2. If the toners are recycled this will happen if the cartidge is not stripped and all the waste toner is not removed from waste bin, the waste bin will quickly overflow onto your page, and belt as before.
B. As these cartidges rarely are empty when the Printer tells you it is, the drill and fill merchants usually add a full charge of toner through a hole they drill in the toner hopper, creating toner overload. The excess toner is pushed out during the early printing process, quickly overfills a waste bin that hasn't been emptied, creating the problem youv'e got.
Proffessional recyclers supply supply quality toners, which we suspect you need to find.

SOURCE: Faint printing

Indeed, the problem here is dust building up on the scanner mirrors. The mirrors are hidden deep inside the printer, but if you have an hour to kill, you can disassemble the printer, clean them off carefully, and solve the problem. See the very detailed PDF disassembly guide at http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?admit=109447626+1221679079368+28353475&threadId=1182873 . Solved all my problems.

SOURCE: HP 2600 ghosting

It is a massive pain but a solution that worked for me is to run a 'clean' after every card stock sheet. I know it's wicked awful but it actually worked and I had to run 100 times (one for each good color card stock)
First put plain paper in tray 2
Next
Hit left arrow until you get to 'system service' and press green check
Next
then go to 'clean' and press check
Now it should print a clean image without ghosting

Hp 8000n is ghosting excess toner on prints. Why?

Perhaps, but first clean up the exposed parts of the printer where the toner may travel before it makes contact with the paper. Also, the fuser may need to be cleaned or replaced. Post your problem directly with HP on the HP website.

I have the Hp 2600n color laser jet and it when i print anything it just repeats all the way down the page like the ink is bleeding

When the printer is repeating text, ghosting, it's usually caused by the fuser. The best way to fix this problem is to replace the fuser in the printer. Depending on how much toner you have left and the price of a new fuser, it might be more cost effective to buy a new printer.

My printer is leaving faint marks of other words down the side of the page...any way to fix that?

Yes, It sounds like a ghosting issue. Several components can cause a ghosting issue. The distance between the first occurance(the one on purpose) and the second occurance(ghost image) can determine the part of the machine causing the image problem
56.6mm - Fuser
54.5mm - Transfer Belt
75.4mm - Drum unit (1 of toner carts)

HP 2600N PRINTS A BLACK LINE VERTICALLY ACROSS THE PAGE (FROM TOP TO BOTTOM) RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE EVERYTIME YOU PRINT SOMETHING . WHAT COULD THIS BE? I HAVE CLEANED EVERY DRUM, THE FILM ETC AND IT KEEPS...

You either have a defective black toner, a bad fuser or transfer belt. From my experence it is usually a bad toner cartridge. After you print a couple of pages, pull the black toner and see if there is anything on the drum. If there is try shaking the toner, sometimes toner does like dirt and clogs up. If you still have problem you will have to try another toner. I know that is not cheep, but I don't know any other way.

Hp2600n printing black dots centre page

Could be a dirty fuser, try a laser printer cleaning sheet.

This is more of a problem if you use (some types of) remanufactured toner cartridges.

HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printing Problem!

franko21:

It sounds like you are having an issue with your fusing assembly. Here's the check you need. Measure the distance from the original print on the page and the exact spot where the repeat ghosting (same spot) appears on the page again. Here's the distances that identify the part having an issue. My guess and experience with this printer says it's probably fuser. Seen a lot of 2600n printers with image ghost problems and almost all are fuser related.

2.22" or 56.6mm = Fuser Upper Film
2.47" or 62.8mm = Fuser Lower Roller (Usually Backside)

2.97" or 75.4mm = Toner Cartridge - Drum (Usually One Color)
0.97" or 24.7mm = Toner Cartridge - Developer Roller
1.05" or 26.7mm = Toner Cartridge - Primary Charge Roller

2.15" or 54.5mm = ETB - Transfer Belt (Big Belt on Door)

If it should be the Fuser or Transfer Belt, consider not replacing the part as the minimum cost for either (part only) is $105.00 before shipping. The better alternative is to jump on Ebay and buy a HP refurb or new machine MINUS the supplies. They come with the Transfer belt and fuser. They are cheaper for the full machine than the replacement part. They average about $65.00 thru $90.00 landed.

Hope that helps you. If so, hit me with a FIXYA.
