Have you checked to see if the batteries are fresh in the remote? Sometimes the remote will act up and not lock or start the car when you want it to. If the batteries are fresh I would suggest seeing about getting a new remote or take the remote in to the dealership and see what they can do about it. You should try replacing the batteries in the remote. If that doesn't fix your problem then you may have a bad remote.

have that key re-programmed ...another thing is to take off your battery cables for about 10 minutes to allow your vehicle to re-code itself

Chek the inmobiizer bypass connections if you are not using it chek the tach wire and also perform a learn tachometer.

I Sounds like the factory alarm has not been disabled or bypassed properly yet. The car thinks that someone somehow got into the car while it was locked and tried to start it. Had the same issue on my car and had to unlock then lock it again to start it.

How do you reset the remote, alarm. I have a scytek two way security alarm, remote start. I can lock and unlock my vehicle, however the remote start and alarm won't work. When I press the middle button to have the car start it just beeps, and when I lock my car it just locks it doesn't beep to let me know the alarm is on.

Please advise, do I need another alarm, or just reset it.

yes, most gm cars/trucks made after 1988, and just about everything after the early nineties requires a bypass. DEI has a very easy to install and use bypass for these vehicles, the 555L is perfect.
