SOURCE: can't download pictures from camera

perhaps your Fuji download program is corrupted, or your cable has been broken. Most computers now have a direct plug-in for your memory card, as well as plenty of built-in programs to download your pictures. I like the Vista Photo Gallery (come to think of it, it is the ONLY thing I like about Vista. At any rate, unplug your xD chip from the battery compartment (you can just pull it out, or push it and it pops up), (and close the battery compartment, or you will have to reset the date and time), plug it into your computer, and wait for a bunch of programs to pop up eager to download your photos. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad chip--but if you had a bad chip, you couldn't view your pictures on your camera. If you have XP, you should be able to see the xD as a new drive if you plug it in--not sure which programs will pop up, but you may be able to move the pix just like any files from one drive to another. Good luck. Incidentally, if you need a new cable, internet charges range from 3 to $25.

SOURCE: fuji A850 will not power up

I had the same problem, same camera. So I checked to see if other digital cameras had the same problem, and some did. Seems to be with the batteries. I took out my memory card, and reinstalled the batteries that came with my camera, I've only had it a few days. Turned it on and it worked, so I took a pic, and then turned it back off and reinstalled the memory card, and made sure it was formatted. Turned the camera back on and it worked, and took another pic with no problems. The batteries I have right now are Panasonic Alkaline for Digital. They seem to be a heavier battery, because the cheaper ones are lighter and didn't work. So I say try that brand or make sure the batteries are for digital purposes. Hope this helps.

Can i download software for fuji x10 without the cd?

Do you really need the Fuji software?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

If you really want the Fuji software, you may download it from here.

When i turn on my fuji polaroid cam, there is an "E" error message. I can't take any polaroid pictures with it altho the polaroid cam is loaded with film. Please help. Thanks

First, remove the remaining films from the camera. (while your camera is switched off) Second, press on both the shutter button and the power button at the same time. (to reset) Third, reload a new set of polaroid films into the camera.
Hope it helps!

Owner's Manual for a Fuji Discovery 400 Tele Plus

Here's the owner's manual (link below) .

NOTE -> the DL-400 extracts the entire roll of film from the canister as soon as you close the back. Just the REVERSE of what you would expect. Then every time you take a picture, the camera rewinds the exposed (single shot) picture back into the cannister. When loading the film, YOU MUST PULL OUT ENOUGH FILM FROM THE CANNISTER TO GO ACROSS THE ENTIRE BACK OF THE CAMERA. There are 7 little notches on the botton of the cover. You won't see them until you open the back. The film MUST be extended far enough to reach the notches.

The camera does not do exactly what you want. You can print the date & time using the Digital Print Order Format as described on page 52 of the manual (link below): http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/bin/FinePix_F470_Manual.pdf I don't see any way of having the data & time appear on the images stored on the PC or camera. Memory Card Problem

I've solved it.
I'll bet a buck you also bought a memory card reader.
If you hook the memory card (or camera) to a computer, you'll see a directory with a name like fuji_999.
After you download the pictures delete that directory from the memory card, and the problem's solved.
I just did it with a 1 gig xd card in my daughter's fuji 480. It had a main directory on the card called DXsomething, and 2 subdirectories, fuji_100, and fuji_999.
I deleted all three directories (after saving the photos), and the problem is gone.
Hope it works for you.
