SOURCE: solution CD for Iomega Network Hard drive 250Gb

You get the drivers at Iomega.com and look under support to get your drivers.

REMEMBER you need to install those drivers to ONE pc and then have all your computers networked to it thru your network neighborhood. Any other questions, please write back to me, ok?

SOURCE: How come 1tb is equal to 931gb on my new ext. hard drive???

This is due to marketing language. For these people, a KB is 1,000 bytes, not 1,024. Similarly with a MB which is 1,000,000 not 1,048,576.

So when they tell you that your drive is 1TB they mean 1,000 of 'their' gigabytes, which your computer sees as 931 'real' gigabytes.

Iomega 1tb ext harddrive says its fullll when it should have about 500gb free ???

Click on start, then computer, and then double click on your Iomega drive. See what is on there that is taking up all the space.

Also check and see what windows reports for free space and total space available

Need to download software for this ext. hd. Looked on iomega site, but couldn't find...any ideas? thanks, mb

That's because there is no software for it. It's a mass storage device and should be seen by your computer as such.
