I have problem starting pc after pressing acer arcade button

You could try re-installing the software.

it says to make sure "HOLD" button is not turned on when shuting laptop down otherwise it will do what yours is doing. They are also talking about going in to safe mode and taking it out of start up. Just read the posts and you might be able to get rid of it. The one i found was towards the bottom.

There is no need to use acer arcade, you can just use windows media player or windows media center (which is acer arcade just changed a little by acer). The only way to recover acer arcade would only be possible by using your acer program recovery disks.

if you can boot into safe mode by pressing f8 at startup, check the startup folder for acer arcade and remove it if present.From your start button go to (start-programs-startup).

another option is to check the run key in the registry: one caveat though - please don't mess with things in the registry you don't understand. Deleting or changing unknown registry keys can result in a non-booting pc.

please stick strictly to my instructions and you will be fine. We're going to look and see if windows is calling the acer arcade to run at boot time:

click your start button and type 'regedit' (no quotes in the start search field. A window titled 'registry editor' will appear. Now, to expand a field in the registry, we left-click on the triangle on the left side of the field.

so, click the triangle beside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
go down to 'software' and click the triangle beside it. go down to Microsoft and click the triangle, go to windows and click the triangle, go to current version and click the triangle, go to run and click on the run folder, not the triangle beside it.

Now look in the list of items in the run folder. these are all items that run when your pc boots. If you see an item with 'acer arcade' or just 'arcade' in the name, then delete it. DO NOT DELETE ANY OTHER REGISTRY KEYS....PLEASE!
if you found acer arcade and removed it then reboot and all should be better. if not, boot to safe mode again, click start button and type in 'msconfig' - no quotes. go to the startup tab, and again only uncheck anything with acer arcade in the name.

have you checked your bios settings are you booting from the right drive have you tried recovery?

you need to reboot then press f2 befor the computer starts because it will bring you to the option of last good configuration or like you are looking for safe mode

I have had the same problem ... that happend to me when I press the arcade deluxe button on the blue gem controler on the left. when I tryed to run vista again it keeps going to the arcade deluxe system ...
the only solution for that case that works with me when I run the system recovery and installed fresh copy from the windows vista that came with my laptop ...

in bios, locate windows vista and set it up to start automaticly , (default operating system)

You configure the keys from the Acer Launch Manager. If you go to Start, All Programs,  Acer System you will find the manual telling you exactly how to configure it.
