Portable Sylvania SDVD1030 player suddenly went dead after playing a half hour. No previous problems. No lights come on, and attempts to recharge did nothing. Is the player a goner?

SOURCE: after down loading music player went off won,t recharge

This player is effectively destroyed by using it on a computer that runs either Windows Media Player 11 or Vista. You can try doing a repair in Philips Device Manager, but this is very nearly an obsolete mp3 player.

SOURCE: My battery does not recharge.

I think that your battery is a dud. If you have been using your portable player on ac all of the time then you have been charging your battery at the same time. You need to play the portable on the battery at least once a month or it will slowly just go bad.

SOURCE: I have a Garmin Nuvi 750. It went dead suddenly.

THERES A GOOD CHANCE THAT THE CABLE IS DAMAGED OR EVEN WORST THE CONNECTOR WITHIN THE UNIT IS DAMAGED OR BROKEN. TRY USING THE OTHER CABLE IE THE CAR TO UNIT CABLE OR THE USB TO UNIT CABLE IF EITHER ONE WORKS THE OTHER IS DEFECTIVE, IF NONE OF THEM WORK THERE GOES TROUBLE.

Do you need to always have the sylvania sdvd1030 plugged in?

You absolutely need to keep a PORTABLE BATTERY OPERATED dvd player plugged in for it to work. Cell phones are the same way aren't they.

I think your asking a troll question and if not
you have no buisness buying any device besides a tv with rabbit ears.

Want to use toshiba 500 GB portable hardrive with sylvania SDVD1030

Hi,
I think no problem create, because PC sense only 0 and 1 corrector and PC work logically. So you are used any company product no issue. But may be if Hardware software driver not supported then error create. So you try it and connect device.

If Technical Support contact good Hardware Technician.

When I stop playing a DVD, is it possible for the story to continue where i had stopped or do I have to start from the beginning and fast forward it to where I had left off?

Unfortunately, I don't think so because I own a similar product and once you shut it off in the middle of the picture - it has no memory of where you left off, so I suggest just pressing stop if you're going to be a way a very short while and when you return press play again and it is how I worked so far around this problem.
