SOURCE: Settings on my laptop to make RPG game run better

Not much can be done for gaming on laptops, unless you shell out over $2000 for a dedicated gaming laptop.

Ram could be a big issue, depending on how much you have. The screen resolution that you are playing at, the detail levels, and possible network connection speed can all contribute to a laggy game experience.

Try turning off any background services that you do not need when you are playing (ie. skype, iTunes, etc...), perhaps checking your video card to see if you have the latest drivers as well.

try check the device manager in 'my computer' properties. check the sound device driver. if there is no question mark or exclamation mark on sound driver then the main problem not the driver. but if there is, then u have installed wrong driver. try use driver checker program to see what driver u need. hope this useful, regard riyan.

Cd will not eject by pushing eject button

To fix this, you might have to (re-)install the Intel Optical Disk Driver from the official Dell website (and probably reboot afterwards): http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/22/DriverDetails/Product/alienware-x51?driverId=9CVWK&fileid=2860806832

Alienware x51 random restarts [solved: Dell had the audacity to supply the need with an underpowered PSU for the GPU they offered]

Hello Wiryan =)
Sounds like either a power supply or graphics card issue to me. You could try downloading Almico's speedfan to check your temperatures just to be sure that they are fine.
You should contact Dell, they can probably troubleshoot the issue pretty fast/send a technician to you. The X51 randomly shutting down is a common issue if you check the forums over there. http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19437557.aspx?PageIndex=1
I assume you have updated every driver to the latest?
Hope this helps! :)

Good Day Ilreleonebia!

You should try cleaning all the fans inside your PC once in a while.

Fans, especially in your video card would spin faster whenever you used the video card performance by playing online games that rely on graphics.

It is very normal. What is not is the annoying sounds you are hearing. It should not be. These sounds is cause by dirt accumulating on your blowers and fans. Just clean and the annoying sounds will go away.

Me again with the dell 1330

Yeah, I figured this would help ya. There's no way around the internal card, but keep in mind that the 256 is up to 256, it only uses what it needs up to 256, and really shouldn't ever get to the 256 level, unless you're gaming with some extreme graphics and hooked to multiple monitors. You're topped out at 4g, but 4g is huge and again, you'll never use it all unless your gaming with it, and it doesn't sound like you're gaming with it. An example of a serious gamer is one of my customers that my partner and I set up a system that consists of 1 Alienware gaming tower as a server, with a 1 terabyte hard drive with 8g ram, 1 Alienware gaming laptop, with 2 300g hard drives and 6g ram, and 2 Dell XPS laptops, both with 250g hard drives and 4g ram. All connected to 5, 24 inch flat panel monitors and surround sound for the full panoramic experience. This is gaming at the extreme. Me personally, I'm content with solitaire. Glad you're happy with the performance, sorry you wasted the $120, sell it on Ebay, somebody will buy it, and if you need anything else feel free to ask.

Gaming

If the games aren't starting up at all, try and update them, or type the issue you're experiencing into Google.

If they're running too slow, reduce the graphics quality within settings. If that still doesn't work, look for the minimum specification on the packaging or search Google for it. Games with good graphics will require faster, more expensive graphics cards. You should be able to get your computer upgraded by just about any computer shop, or a friend may be able to do it.
