Replaced convergence chips on Mitsubishi rear projector TV, turns on, black screen?

After replacing STK IC's, instead of TV turning itself off, it now turns on, makes noise and seems to function correctly with the exception of a completely black screen, what should I do now? TV Self-Check test does no error code, I believe it was 1-2 Model: WT46807

I replaced the Convergence IC Chip STK392-110 for my PT-53WX42 Panasonic HD Rear Projection TV but I found burnt resistor(resistor #)R7053,R7002 & R7005.Can someone tell me the part# ,description,resistor value and power rating.I don't have the schematic to look .Thanks

HELLO YOU FIRST NEED TO UNPLUG THE SET , THEN TAKE OFF THE BACK OF THE SET. AND LOOK FOR TWO LARGE SILVER HEAT SENK'S THE IC CHIP'S WILL HAVE STK-393-110 ON THEM.!!! WILL BE SCREWED TO THESE HEAT SENK'S WITH SCREW'S AND SOLDER TO THE BOARD ON THE BOTTEM OF THE BOARD,!!! WELL "GOOD LUCK"

I made the same repair in a Toshiba 42h81 I replaced the STK 392-110 and after a lot of searching found the cheaper ones last 6 month or so be sure to use Sanyo IC's and replace the resistors with them when the IC's let go they take the resistors out I posted my repair On my page if it will help you dennisgm052.weebly.com

SOURCE: service code needed to complete convergence adjustments

I have the service convergence code: mute-1-8-3 (make sure your tv is on and set to antenna. if it doesn't work press S. Mode and make sure is says standard then re-enter code.

So, I have the code but I need the convergence chips. Where did you get the convergence chips?

On my HD1080 Mitsubishi projection flat screen 55809 the picture is bowed on top and bottem and it look as if the projectors themselves are offset, but the picture is clearer as you come toward the center....

It could be one of two things: Either a bad solder joint or convergence IC failure.

Convergence IC failure is very common. The solution is to replace the STK chips, check fuses and the resistors next to the STK chips. Replace as necessary and re-align via the service menu. It is about a $300 repair at a tv service center. You will need the service manual if you decide to do this yourself.

Try This:
When you notice the symptons Use this simple test to verify.
Go to the users menu on the tv.
Look for the converge option probably under setup or video setting. Converge is short for convergence to align the red and blue colors to the green color.

If you cannot move the red either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for red section.
If you cannot move the blue either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for the blue section.

If you can move both in each direction then the problem is something else.

Note if one STK chip fails, you replace both regardless

Mitsubishi 55" Convergence chip location? Where

Look for a big heat sink (big piece of aluminum) right behind the back access panel. The brown pressboard that you need to take of to have access to the inside of the chassis. I think there is two STK chips for this tv. Older mits only had one. The STK chip is black, should be about 3" long with about 20 pins on it. It may have a metal clip covering the part number on the front.

There is a arch across the top and bottom of the screen , and everything has a blue outline.

Either the convergence alignment, wich can be repair by the owner...with the remote (tough not a simple task), or you have to change the convergence hybrid IC (STK chip)...if any or the convergence board itself.

I have a Mitsubishi WS-65711 that is six years

Go by number on your ICs If they are STK392-570 then use STK392-570 only! Call Mats for parts 10.95 each 1-800-628-1118 They are Big Black ICs mounted on Big Aluimmim heat sink will have STK on them!

Tv was blurry them turned off and wont come back on and the red light on front blinks

The blurry must be defined as out of convergence or out of focus,If there is a lines of color on the pictures edges, its convergence, if the picture is not sharp the focus is the problem.The common cause of convergence problem is the convergence drive chip(stk) and might be the cause of shutdown too.The focus problem is commonly contributed by the projector lenses, in most cases the coolant liquid leaks and drip on the board, this causes shutdown too.The lenses must check first for any leak before the replacement of IC(stk).

also check resistor values on the chips and resolder the tuner as this can cause problems as they heat up , then replace any electrolitic capacitors in the video circuts selector ic

Color out of convergence.

Sounds like the CONVERGENCE IC has failed >STK-110 > 267P155010. TV only Uses one.

Rear projection tv

hello. well that's not from your focus board.!!! tv's don't have focus board's .!!! they have focus pod's.!!! it's a small black box with nob's that can be turned to ajust the focus.!!! so the tv look's clear.!!! the problem you have is in your ( blue IC chip') . it's going bad and will need to be replaced.!!! there are 2 (IC chip's) there is one for the red & one for the blue.!!! and they are on the convergence board.!!! they will have letter & number's on them.!!! like (STK 1140 or STK1158) NOW.!!! UNDERSTAND THAT THESE AND NOT YOUR NUMBER ON YOUR SET.!!! YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR YOUR SELF.!!! ON THE CONVERGENCE BOARD TO FIND OUT WHAT number's are on your (ICchip's) .!!! and replace them .!!! and that should fix your problem.!! hope this help's you.!!! "GOOD LUCK"

Convergence on kdp-65ws550

The board for this 2001 Model is no longer available. Now, if you can solder, you can repair yourself. The parts you will need are two STK 392-570 (HIC), convergence IC's, part number 270P150010.

If you can't replace yourself, please call an authorized service center to give an estimate....

if you can remove the rear panel assy. look for the convergence ic's they start with stk--- and you got the part number you need a source panasonic is 814 source and the number on the ic's stk 390 ----/
