The touchscreen means that it does not need a mouse or a keyboard it can connect to the internet and it can run many of the programs that can be run on a larger computer. Here are a few examples: Blackberry, Samsung, Sony and Nokia.

In a NUT-SHELL...

You think a touch-screen is an either / or device...that is only suitable for weeny teeny little devices...

ALTERNATIVELY...
I'M QUITE HAPPY to fiddle with the mouse in one hand
and sear my fingers all over the screen with the other...

Oh by the way... illuminated keyboard..
biggassed touch-pad... and 17 inch display..

I'm liking it...

Why must TOUCHSCREEN mean
mini-pads, maxi-pads & smart-fones...???

A hypothesis NOT WORTH "PARAPHRASING"...!!

SOURCE: Computer not recognizing Keyboard, only Mouse

I'm having the same problem. Mouse works great but the keyboard doesn't. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software at least twice via remote desktop- done a hard reboot on the hardware (it's a Logitec wireless keyboard) - I've even tried installing it on another computer and the keyboard and mouse both work great! I just can't get it to work on my computer. The curious thing is that the side buttons (like sleep work) but it won't Ctrl Alt Del so I can login - what am I doing wrong? Are there settings that need to be changed?

SOURCE: gateway cordless mouse intermittent connection

I was having the same problem then I ran across something on the Gateway sight saying to hold the connect button on the transmitter for 5 seconds, then the connect button on the mouse for 5 seconds. I just did this about 5 minutes ago but it seems to have fixed the problem.

SOURCE: microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2.0 keyboard not working

You have to press the button on the receiver that is directly connected to the computer. While doing this, press the connect button both the mouse and the keyboard. I did this and now my keyboard is working, despite the battery indicator turning itself off a few seconds after I install it.

Hope this solves your problem.

Example of a paraphrased question

Simple Steps in Paraphrasing
In the process of paraphrasing, the structure may be distorted but make sure to keep the thought or meaning. Only paraphrase when there is a need to do so. If the question is simple enough to be understood, there is no need to restate it.
The first step in paraphrasing is to locate the key points or highlighted words in the original question. Focusing on those important words, find synonyms that may replace the original words.
The use of variation in the terms is to refrain from parroting or echoing the question. Consider the verb tenses or any changes in the sentence structure. There are some starting phrases to be added in paraphrasing. Some of these examples are:
"If I heard you correctly, you were asking if..."
"You were asking that...Is that right?"
"As I understand it, you want to know if.... Am I correct?"
"So your question is about..."
If the speaker confirms correctness of the paraphrased question and you start answering, your response should be what the person wants to hear and know. That is one of the ways to check if the original question was appropriately restated or not.

Wireless keyboard and mouse stopped working. I have to use the touchscreen

Assuming they are normally connected via Bluetooth, I would first toggle the Bluetooth controls.

If they use a USB receiver, try a different port. If still not working try on another computer, any computer.

There is a life limit on these wireless devices, though I doubt both mouse and keyboard would die together.

P.s. With wireless devices, always check the batteries. They could be sitting wrong, a spin could fix them, might be dead or just not enough charge.

Hope that helps.

I was checking e-mail when mouse stopped working. I replaced the mouse and keyboard batteries. At that point the return key and up and down arrows were working. I logged off the computer and the next day...

Sometimes, after replacing batteries, mouse and keyboard needs to be re-connected. Press and hold the "connect" button on Keyboard for some time and it will be connected.

Keyboard has stopped working. have replaced batteries, tried to reconnect wireless channel and still nothing. I then rebooted and still nothing. Is is time to give up? Also, a side note the keyboard...

I have had the same problems on an XP configuration. You need to completely uninstall the Logitech drivers and first connect a wired keyboard.
Then reboot and follow the installation instructions for the Logitech keyboard/mouse combi. This probably means running the installer and then connecting the USB device.
It can actually take a few reboots before everything works, very annoying stuff.

Cordless mouse and keyboard setup

Make sure the batteries are good.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
