check you tension on the top thread and see if you have it threaded the right way. Also see if the indent of your needle "the indent down by the hole on the needle" is facing the hook by your bobbin case that grabs the thread when it comes around.

SOURCE: my bobbin thread is not drawing up on my brother

If the thread is being trapped in the bobbin area, yes, it could be the bobbin case. If the thread goes around the bobbin case and come back up then it is probably out of time and needs to be sent to a repair shop.

SOURCE: walking foot on my brother cs6000i

There are TWO places this foot attaches to the machine. It "hooks" onto the left side of the presser foot holder, and there's another part on the right side that should attach up higher (as shown in the instructions). If you forget about that second one, it gets stuck and does exactly what you described.

Brother CS6000i... the needle threader broke. A spring fell out and now it's loose and doesn't work. How do I get into it to fix it?

Contact your Brother dealer and ask if this is something you can fix.

If this mechanism is inside the machine, you may do more harm and that could result in more expense and invalidate your warranty.

Brother CS6000i - Needle breaking, bobbin thread not picking up

There are a few possible causes, firstly make sure you have the correct needle and it is in the correct way and make sure when you fit the needle it is pusshed all the way up into the needle holder. If the shuttle or hook is moving around the bobbin case then the timing may have been knocked out. If the it is not moving it means either the gear or belt that drives the hoo / shuttle has been damaged or broken.

Bobbin case is moving out of place

I was having the same problem with my machine and finally the spring broke. I couldn't find any parts for this so my husband made me a new spring out of a coke can! LOL!! Anyway, he messed with it for a while and it kept doing it. He figured out that it was not the spring but the other piece under the spring was not pushed up far enough to keep the bobbin case in place so he took a screw driver and pushed it forward toward the bobbin case and now my bobbin case does not move!! And the machine is sewing perfect! At least for now. Anyway, it's not the spring or the thread adjusting screw!
