Basically the PS3 wireless settings needs to be configures with the Netgear wireless router settings.
To test if the modem is connects to the Internet, connect a computer into the modem, if it works then the modem is configured correctly. If it doesn't work, then contact your ISP and get them to test your modem connection.
For details on how to configure the PS3 click on the WEB link :- wii.php">http://fixhomenetwork.com/xbox-play-station-wii.php
Can you pls confirm if you have cable or PPPoE connection. Also, please connect the modem directly to the computer and let me know the results:
A. Click on Start—Programs—Accessories—Command Prompt. B. In Command Prompt window, type in 'ipconfig' and hit 'Enter'. Note down the IP Address, Subnet mask & Default Gateway here.
Once I have this information, it will be quite easy to configure the router.
I have just bought a Netgear WGR14 v9 and I was wondering if anyone knows how to set it up with Time Warner. We just swithced from Bellsouth to Time Warner and I don't know how to set it up?
Sounds link you need to setup PPPoE on your router. Not knowing who your ISP is, Netgear has this website that lists a lot of ISPs support on setting PPPoE up. that is located here: Netgear
If you can't find the info there, basically what you need to do is on your router, typically the main page, you might see an area that lists: DHCP, Static, PPPoE (or something similar). What you need to do, is select the PPPoE option and put your ISP login information (that is on your DSL modem now) there should be a connect or login button once your finished. Once that is done, your router does the logging in, instead of the modem.
