First replace the TCON/HFR Board if the 5X protection mode blink pattern occurs. If the TCON/HFR Board does not repair the problem then replace the A-Board.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
You have a couple of problems if you are sure there are 2 different blink codes. 13 blinks indicates a backlight balancer error which would explain your no light condition. 14 blinks would be a TCON board error which is the driver board for the LCD screen. Either error would keep the screen black.

many bad lcd panels will show issues like this check the menus and if theyre bad its likely a bad lcd panel i'd complain to sony and see if they are extending the warranty for this issue as some xbr panels were defective
