Tempstar, model #NUGG150 1990 cannot find the efficiency.

After some lookin, I found the following which may help:

As I recall, the NUGG was a standard 60-65% AFUE.
It was manufactured in 1990. The model number is CA1048qka1. ... I'm trying to figure out what the efficiency gain is there too. As I recall, the NUGG was a standard 60-65% AFUE furnace.

I heard there was a recall on LG fridges, how do I know if mine was recalled?

Look at the cspc.gov site for the models in the recall in the US and then you may have to contact the company (since not all serial numbers have the issue).
I found one recall here: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml05/05213.html and it only lists LG models that start LRFC from ~2005

A more recent recall is here: http://www.current.com.au/2010/03/26/article/LG-recalls-six-refrigerators-due-to-electric-shock-risk/PQSIMXEOAH.html from March 2010

I hope this helps.

Leak samsung front load washer

Hiya bcd1...what model number? see below info.. is yours one of these?

The front loading washing machines have been known to leak water onto the electrical connections to the machine's thermal sensor, which could cause an electrical short and ignite a circuit board, causing a fire.
The recall covers 250,000 Maytag washers and 20,000 Samsung front loaders.
Maytag machines affected have model numbers beginning with MAH9700 or MAH8700. The Samsung washers have model numbers beginning WF306BHW and WF316, although not all serial numbers are subject to the recall.

learn more detailed information about the recall by visiting Whirlpool...or Samsung's at www.samsung.com/washerrecall.

Hope you find useful!
