Most likely a bad digital board. onkyo has a problem with one of the chips on the board having bad solder joints causing the firmware to not load correctly

You should reset the amp to factory default to see if audyssey disappear. Unfortunately, over 90% using reset to kick audyssey out does not work. What can I do? Calling onkyo to repair is the only option. Never use this function, wifi and bluetooth in onkyo av-amp except warranty is not expired.
use the optical port (toslink cable needed)little square with flap will be lit red or use rca cables red and white audio out fron tv to any port on reciver(aux,cd,dvd,ect) the reciver will have to be turned to this for the surrond to be heard
check the electricity plug > check the electricity cable of the reciver < and the best thing put every three electronic device in on plug not more and the best thing go to the company to check your reciver
I assume you mean the subwoofer remains silent during the test. Perhaps the subwoofer is where we should be looking.
If you jack it into one or both of the Tape Out connectors and play some music with substantial low bass, does it make any sound? This would at least prove it is alive.
So your saying that you have no rear channel. Some recivers use a single stereo output ic for both sides on the rear speakers. you could have a defect with this IC . Anther thing Im sure you check3ed the obvious ie : the switch is on suround sound? If there is a front to rear fader is it in the middle? Good Luck
