Samsung microwave oven Model # SMH9151S. Turntable not turning fan inside (not the exhaust fan) is not working either.

It may be a failed relay on the control board, which I repair affordably.

See my profile picture if you need more help.

GE Model # JVM7195SFSS microwave.

Check the internal ceramic fuse on the circuit board. Sometimes one section will work while another won't. I'm not sure if this model has a rear mounted thermal fuse, but the models with the inline thermal fuse will cause a similar issue.

Range lights on a over the range GE mirco wave won't work. The touch pad works and says the lights are on but no lights

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid with a one year guarantee.

Or you can buy and install a new control circuit board (smart board) from the Pros here, our favorite supplier.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan, cooling fan, turntable, and/or inside light operation, too.

Details of our service are at our Web site, along with a video showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly with your brand, full model number and symptoms.

It does not heat but the lights and everthing else are working

To allow us to help you effectively (at no charge), please post a NEW problem to FixYa, and please include your brand name and the full model number from the tag in or on the unit, and your symptoms, as well as the answers to these questions:

- When you try to microwave are the inside light, internal cooling fan and turntable all working?

- Is there any unusual noise or is it louder or quieter than normal?

We have a sound clip here of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are working.

A loud buzz, hum, or groan is usually a shorted high voltage rectifier diode, but a sound like gurgling into an empty coffee mug is one symptom of a failed magnetron, and yet the mag can be bad without that sound.

These answers will help me figure out if it's a control-level issue or a problem in the high voltage section.

GE Microwave oven vent fan not working

You are correct the fan motor is either stuck or needs replaced.

There is no way to do this without removing the entire microwave. In case your not familiar with how microwaves work, there is a capacitor that is very large inside and can hold a charge even after it is unplugged for up to 24 hours, please take action to prevent getting shocked.

Do you mean the internal cooling fan and cooking cavity light?

I'm guessing these are not the ones you mean, but if so, please reply back and I'll address that.

I'd bet you mean the exhaust vent fan and cooktop work lights?

If you mean the latter, the problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Lights and Fan not working

Are you talking about the light and fan inside the microwave or the vent fan (in the grille) and the cooktop / stove top lights? Either can be economically repaired. Please clarify and I will give you more detailed information.
