Linda, if it is the charge port, mini USB, yes they can be fixed or replaced by cell phone/computer repair shop.

Hold down the stop button for several seconds or do the same with the start button

Your charging port (where you jack in the USB to the samsung tab) but first try another Samsung USB plug and flex

either your battery is shot as in dead or your charger is faulty
you could try to charge it using a usb lead in your computer or another usb port to see if that works , or try another charger to eliminate your lead /charger you are using

1. Try a new charging cable.
2. Make sure charging port is not broken.
   These are the most common issues with tablets.

It's not that complicate to use, most people don't know that it's the regular Galaxy tab, just a different model name.

I have the same problem charging from either wall socket or usb!!

It sounds to me like you have an issue with your Galaxy Tab's charging port.

Fortunately it is still under warranty if you've just recently purchased it.

Take it back to the store or contact Samsung for a warranty replacement. They may be able to help you recover items from the memory.
