SOURCE: lakewood radiator heater model number

Sounds as if the element is burnt out or the tstat is broken. the tstat is the more common as they use very cheap ones. Unfortunately you can't get these. My suggestion is to buy a new one.

SOURCE: I have a Lakewood Commercial Heater, model

Have you tried appliance parts pro .com? Also some hardware stores carry thermostats for other models, and they probably can be susbstituted. Have you looked at E-bay for a used heater for e parts? This could be cheaper than a new thermostst. Ilooked and there were some parts and several old heaters that claim they all work. Try them and let me know if you need more help.

I did the drill think once. but today when trying to repair an old Lakewood 7101, I removed the two screws holding the front cover in place (top and bottom). the cover slides down and out. and underneath I see a large plug that can be unscrewed to drain or fill the heater!

I am sorry to inform you but Lakewood heater company filled bankrutcy in 2009 and no longer is in bussiness. However, I have found a website that still has Lakewood patio heaters in many different styles that you may want to take a look at, the follow is a link to that site http://www.heater-home.com/category/lakewood.aspx

No heat coming from it

Let's try trouble shooting the situation, and see what clues we have:

Are there any lights lit?-- How do we know for sure, we have power into the unit?

Are there any resets?- or maybe turning the Thermostat all the way to one end of it's travel, or the other, might re-set it?

There must be some clues-- Unplug it, and start from the beginning, and listen, and observe everything for ANY CLUES!

Let us know what you find, and tell us any clues you see or hear.

My lakewood electric heater plug gets hot and starts melting, I have to use a three prong adapter to plug this in..can u help?

Sounds like heat element is defective drawing too much current. Make sure you are not using an extension cord on this heater, it has to be plugged directly into wall socket. Post model number on here so we know what unit we are dealing with.

Help! Dog Bit Through Electrical cord on Lakewood 2727. How to replace cord???

another option for you would be to use crimp on terminal connectors(**** connectors) you may purchase these from most hardware stores. Even using these I would still tape around the outside to ensure a good insulating surface.
