Ice tray dispensor not working. Water is not filling ice tray,, ice tray not tipping into ice dispenser box.
I cleaned all the back of the refrigerator freezer, removed all the ice tray and removable parts (& replaced). I also did turn the refrigerator off for 20 seconds and turned it back on in the hope that this would reinitialise the machine but it did not work.
So imagine my surprise when several hours later two lots of ice cubes have been produced and the water is re-filling the ice cube tray correctly.
I suspect that one or two of the sensors are malfunctioning but then it is 10 years old this year. Problem solved.

The ice mold tray has built up deposits that "glue" the ice cubes to the tray. This usually means you will have to change the mold tray. You could try vinegar or lemon juice to clean it but the trays are not that expensive.
OK, that should be no problem. Test your ice maker and fill with water if empty of ice. If full of ice and not moving to dump tell me. I need to help you locate the problem doing that and answering will tell me the problem. I have a LG GRP207TUJA side by side freezer, which has a water,ice,crushed ice dispenser. There is a button to select which mode of dispenser. The freezer just appears to be cycling through all the selections all by itself and make the bleeping noise as it moves from one selection to another...any ideas
Colenoid in the ice dispenser may be clogged or have a small amount of trash in it. Is there a filter on before the fridge (just after the ice maker shutoff)?
Make sure that your ice tray is properly instaled. There is a rod that must go into a hole. When you select ice cubes rather than crushed ice a solenoid raises which moves that rod. It then opens a flap so the cubes can bypass the crusher. Either your rod is not in the hole correctly or the solenoid has gone bad. The rod that I am speaking of runs along the underside of the ice tray. It has a spring on the rear end that holds the bypass flpa closed.
It is possible that the water valve behind the refrigerator is either defective or the wire connection is loose. Also check the fill tube where the water comes in and see if there is ice blocking the fill tube. Since it's under warranty, have it serviced by the LG warranty to resolve this issue.
We have the same problem with the ice cube tray. Repairman said the tray must be replaced every year as continual bending warps it out of shape. Replace every year and your problem is solved.
Womers, make sure there is not a lock-out on the dispensor panel. If there is, hold it in for 5 seconds and see if the dispensors come alive. Because both water and ice are not working, I would think you have a dispenser board issue. Catriver..post back.
