My Toyostove laser 56 is making a loud humming noise. I tried the suggestion and replaced the heat mat, and the burner ring. I also replaced the gaskets.

One of the answers suggested replacing the damper O ring However I'm not sure what size this is or what the part number is. I really need to fix this heater as it is the primary heat source for my home in Maine.

Loud humming noise coming from the rear/tires? of 07 pt cruiser?

Rub your hand over the tread and try and feel for cupping or uneven tread patterns. This will create alot of road noise. If not, have your wheel bearings checked.

2008 town and country,..rear driver side brakes heating up making loud hum noise,..just replaced caliper and still doing it,....help what do i do???

Check the sliding hardware that the caliper bolts too. A glide pin could be seized.

If the caliper can't slide it can jam a pad against the rotor causing noise, heat and warped rotors.

Have loud noise from engine, gets louder w/more rpms.it is an automatic,60k miles.no exhaust or muffler problem.

Serpentine belt tightener pulley bearing was bad, made a loud noise. I replaced the pulley (jobber part) and the noise level was reduced enough to notice the waterpump was also making a noise ... more revs = louder noise. I am now replacing the water pump. (approx 60k Miles too).

Only when it is hot out a loud humming noise starts in the engine

I suggest that you open the hood (when the engine is hot) and try to pinpoint the source of the noise. Check the power steering pump- these sometimes make a noise that could be described as a hum or whine. The alternator and belt idler or tensioner are other things to check. An automotive-type stethoscope might be useful for tracking down the noise.

2002 trailblazer making loud humming noise when driving

When you turn right - you're taking weight off the right wheel.
If the noise dissipates - the passenger side wheel bearing is most likely to blame.

1996 Audi A4 Quattro has a noisy rear differential

It's the wheel bearing. Guaranteed. Just replaced mine. Go to Audiworld tech articles for step by step instructions on how to test the wheel bearings. They must have been put in wrong last time or they just went out again.

96 lincoln town car- loud humming noise

I had experienced the same problem with my 93 TC. I'll try to make it short. Replace the Idle Control Valve. Cost me $50 at AutoZone. It has a electronic plunger that has a rubber o ring on the end of it. It separates two air chambers inside the valve. When the rubber gets old and the plunger is suppose to cut off the air coming in from one chamber to the other, the air gets sucked between the chambers across the old rubber causing the humming noise. That is also why the engines revs up and down and wont idle right. It is located between the firewall and the back of the motor just to the left (drivers side) of the throttle control assembly. When you look up on the internet on how to replace it, it will tell you to remove all the housing surrounding the wiper blade control arms and assembly so that you can access it. If you take your time, just remove some of the hoses and wires connected around it and you can access it without removing all that ****. Only has two screws to it that point up and can be reached with a ratchet and extension. Car runs great now and finally got rid of that noise.
