Tap on Start > Settings (it is represented by a gray gear in front of an yellow folder. It should be the second item, from the bottom to the top, the closest one to the question mark, which stands for Help). Tap on the second tab (standing for 'System') and search for an icon representing the Earth (standing for 'Regional Settings'). Tap over it and choose the language that better suits your needs, in the dropdown menu. Tap OK to close. This procedure won't change the ROM from Italian to english, of course, but will allow you to better understand what is going on with your mobile.

by vising the given website www.htc.com pls furnish the proper model no of your mobile then u can automatically download the manual frm where u can know the procedure to channge language
u cant understand italian no problem just go to settings and then go to regional settings change the language to english and there u go if ur problem is still there then u should have an english rom installed in ur pda go to www.htc.com and try to download latest english rom other wise u can find it on xda developers
for all android phones version 1,5 and later you can go to a free
android market and download the programs 'MoreLocale' and 'Set Locale
and Language' . you can change the language into any language u want.
