I have a samsung plasma tv PN64D7000 that started to power cycling on its own. I watched a video that said that it could be the "Y board" (or Y sustain), but I might be wrong.

Try unplugging the TV for a few minutes (discharges the ballast/ps) then plug in and attempt to power on. I have the 42P Vizio over two years old and ran into the same problem a few times. First thought was a power supply issue, but the unplugging trick worked. Good luck.

The problem is heat!!! If the tv has fans they should be checked for normal operation, although on the early samsung models there were none, and the problem is that the panel drive buffers are getting to hot due to inadequate cooling. This is most apperent when tv is mounted to close to the wall, also external fan blowing on the rear left side will dissapate the heat. It is a problem on early Samsung and Electrograph 42 " plasma models. Hope this helps.
