Very important you have run system set up menu it configures your receiver with inputs analog or digital, speaker size, input, room correction etc Different input modes can be selected for the different input sources.
The selected input modes for the separate input sources are stored in
the memory.
q AUTO (auto mode)
In this mode, the types of signals being input to the digital and
analog input jacks for the selected input source are detected and
the program in the AVR-3300’s surround decoder is selected
automatically upon playback. This mode can be selected for all
input sources other than PHONO, MD/TAPE and TUNER.
The presence or absence of digital signals is detected, the signals
input to the digital input jacks are identified and decoding and
playback are performed automatically in DTS, Dolby Digital or PCM
(2 channel stereo) format. If no digital signal is being input, the
analog input jacks are selected.
w PCM (exclusive PCM signal playback mode)
Decoding and playback are only performed when PCM signals are
being input.
e DTS (exclusive DTS signal playback mode)
Decoding and playback are only performed when DTS signals are
being input.
r ANALOG (exclusive analog audio signal playback mode)
The signals input to the analog input jacks are decoded and played.
t EXT. IN (external decoder input jack selection mode)
The signals being input to the external decoder input jacks are
played without passing through the surround circuitry Your remote is searching for inputs because you did not properly run system set up!!! Here is a link to your manual [PDF] AVR-3300/1 3.3E*

Go over here: http://denon.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/denon.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=1NlVrsDj

I have some Denon components myself and had some problems. Ask them here, and within a day you should have solution for this problem.

Probably you have to reset the device to factory settings.

Using a Denon Rc1068 remote how do I change inputs on my Denon AVR?

The Denon RC-1068 universal remote has an Amp button on the top left side of the unit. This button toggles through Amp, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4 (on some devices) and System Call. In the Amp mode, it will control your Denon device default zone. If the remote is set to one of the other zones/modes, press the Home button (right side in the row with the Quick Select keys, above the surround sound buttons) to return to the Amp mode. Then press the Input button (on the left side), below the tuner buttons, to select the audio-visual source that you want.

See the manual for the remote at ManualsLib, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/886505/Denon-Rc-1068.html#product-RC-1068 . The picture of the remote buttons is here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/886505/Denon-Rc-1068.html?page=2#manual .

I hope this helps.

How to connect Denon avr 1804 connecting to roku hd

I connected by Roku to a Denon 1804 Receiver this way:- I plugged the cable that came with the Roku into VCR2 input jack of the Denon. (I used VCR2 because it was available).- Using the remote from the Denon, I made sure the slide switch was on "Audio." (See page 20 of Denon Manual).- I pressed pressed the System Setup button- *System Setup appears in display of Denon- Using the cursor buttons I scrolled to menu Digital in Assignment- I set Menu item 16 Coaxial to VCR2 since that was the input jack I used for the Roku. - After making the selection press the CH Select Enter button to save- To exit the System Setup press the System Setup button again- When using the Roku, select the input source as VCR2 (or whatever jack you used). You should now have sound through the Denon. The most important step is to read the Denon manual starting on page 20

How to connect and set up my DENON AVR-3300 to my LG tv. Waht connections on amp and tv do I use?

Hi,
  • if you want to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your receiver, AVR-3300 ** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
AVR-3300 RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection...
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
AVR-3300
Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (tuner, satellite , Xbox ) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

I have connected an audio source to the optical input channel 3 on my Denon AVR3300 but cannot get any audio thru mu speakers. The CD and Blueray connected to channels 1 and 2 work fine. What other...

If you have the User Guide for the Denon 3300, go to the "setting the digital inputs" section. The input settings are in the on screen menu called "system setup menu", then move down to "digital inputs".
Make sure that input you are having problems with is selected properly to "Optical".
The Denon 3300 guide is a mess I know and not user friendly in the least.
I have been using the 3300 for 9 plus years with no failures.

Analog output from digital input for Denon AVR 3803

On the Denon AVR-888 (and I presume others), you have to put the unit in "record" mode. This is covered under "Other Operations and Functions" in the manual. Here are the steps:
1. On the front of the unit, press the zone2/rec select button
2. Turn source select until "recout source" is displayed
3. Turn source select to choose the input source

Hope this helps.

Denon AVR-2105

If the Cd is wired digitally, it will only play through the main zone, because the Denon cannot convert down to RCA to cater for the zone 2. If you plug RCAs from Cd to Denon, Main zone will STILL play from digital, and RCA connection will allow zone 2 to play Cd from RCA input....same with dvd, Satellite Blah blah... no stress, any nasty RCA will do if you want to try before you splash out on really costly cables...perhaps you can help me...want to run AVR 2105 with 2 speakers in zone 2, manual says cant do it - only ably to surround back or biamp...dont want either, dont have stereo yet to try it out...did you have any trouble with that?
