If you still have the factory O.E.M. in the partition you should be able to do a shortcut key recovery, turn on the device while holding down "ALT" & tap tap tap the "F10" key, it take several attempts of a "hard shut down" & "restart" (power button), if your hardware is working & the device has the original factory O.S. it will bring up the "factory default reset" I've had to "shut down & start up" while pecking away at the keys 9 or 10 times on some devices till the reset finely pop up.. if that does not work try tapping "F8" on the start up, it should give you a few recovery options .. You need to see if your laptop lcd screen is faulty and/or the lcd inverer is faulty. 1....Test the lcd screen: Hook your laptop to an outside monitor and then start your laptop normally...if the picture on the external monitor is good, then your lcd screen is bad.
2....Backlight Faulty: If the monitor is still as dark like your lcd screen on the laptop then it could be the backlight that is faulty.
